Also, that demo was in June of 2005 and Oblivion didnt' come out until March of 2006. Skyrim is out in about 4 months.

They got more honest after the Oblivion fiasco.

Their Fallout 3 vids never had anything that was taken out, so I'm guessing they'll go the same route with the Skyrim vids. It's also probably because they started showing off gameplay a few months before the game is released instead of a year off like the vid you posted.

I swear Bethesda must have some kind of contract going with Microsoft. They've only ever shown the 360 version for this game.

This game is going to be right up there with Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, Portal 2, Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Bioshock and GTA IV as one of the best reviewed of the generation. No doubt the production values for a game of this size are incredible and the animations are great as well. I still expect a rather braindead rpg, but at least the fighting should be actually fun for once.

It's always going to be the most stable version to show in demos. Closed system, and they are very familiar with the MS tools. Closer to release you'll see PS3 and more importantly, optimized PC media.

The framerate is mindbogglingly smooth.

The only thing bugging me so far is the fact that when the player stops, the entire world feels like it pauses. Like nothing moves. Might just be due to the cam footage.

And OMG this crowd is so balls to the walls awesome. XFD
