Isn't that how it went worldwide? I feel like 2011 and 2012 were very slow for the Wii.
The Wii entered its 6th year on market in 2011. The other two consoles would have died by then too, but the 360 had Kinect and the PS3 had very strong late gen software support and a ton of cheap collections and bundles for late adopters. The Wii died because Nintendo had shifted most of their development teams to 3DS and Wii U by then.
No, it had a period of about 4-5 years of extraordinarily strong sales. Its reputation as a flash in the pan is pretty revisionist.
