8:30pm . . . nothing.

WTF is this?! You drive a truck around and drop off packages. Quit acting like this is a difficult thing to accomplish.

Most delivery men are out until 7pm at night. Hell, some I know work until even later to get packages deliver.

Quit being a selfish asshole and realize that delivery men aren't just delivering your one package. Something might have come up, they got backed up, super bad traffic took up much of their time, or they were running late and didn't want to waste their entire night for something that could wait until tomorrow.

they don't just send out one truck with one package on it.. there are other stops that they have to make.

Depending on the route they have that day, there might have been a lot of stops and they are extremely behind. It really depends on how their truck is loaded on a particular day.

Wasn't there another "I'm pissed at UPS" thread going around recently? People need to calm down. The delivery people are not out to get you, trust me.

You know what's great? Selecting free 2-day shipping, and having it arrive the next day. Gonna have to buy some holiday cookies for that UPS guy.

I hope UPS enjoys the berating and fines they'll be levied by Amazon for missing the expedited delivery date I paid extra for since I won't be at home to receive deliveries tomorrow.

Last week I wasn't home when a package was brought by via USPS. They left a slip letting me know they had stopped by and that the package was at the post office. Well, I go online to reschedule a redelivery for that upcoming Saturday(I didn't want to take time off from work to go get it) and I even got a confirmation slip on my door on Thursday.

Well Saturday rolls around and my girlfriend was home the whole day(I was working overtime) and the package was not delivered. I was pretty pissed, so I just called up the post office to see if they even still had the damn package. I didn't have any faith in our shitty mail carrier, so I just told them to hold it until the next Saturday so I could get the damn package myself.

I'll probably be relying on Amazon lockers for holiday purchases..

I'm sure Amazon will give you a credit. Just call and ask.

b-b-b-backfire

OP you come off as a self-entitled jerk

i hope your fleshlight is defective and you have to send it back

Do you guys have Packstations where you live? Nowadaya I only send my packages there since they always have to stop there daily.

And what if that package contains live-sustaining medication and the OP won't live without it?

Ive actually had time sensitive medication on ice delivered before, It doesn't come by ups/fedex. The store that did it had their own drivers.

Use their live chat help center instead. It's quicker. Amazon really is great about shit like this though. You'll get some sort of credit from them.

That's not the point. Amazon fulfillment personnel frequently live up to their end of the delivery bargain only to have the ball dropped by incompetent delivery companies. I'm sure Amazon is tired of having to eat the cost for the incompetence of UPS and FedEx.

So you know it's not their fault but you're still going to complain to get some credit.

I've worked fast food before. I know how it is to deal with customers. But this package has been on the truck for over 15 hours now. It's utterly ridiculous. It's like me taking twenty minutes to get someone their Egg McMuffin.

No it's not. It's nothing like that. You have no idea how the delivery business works. Quit being a self-entitled piece of shit.

Well ultimately it would be Amazon's fault. Amazon woule be responsible up until it is delivered. If it fails to get there as stated, it is on Amazon since they are the ones that contracted with the delivery company.

Wow. You come off as a whiny, impatient, entitled jerk. It's just a package.

Real talk, I think everybody who's worked retail or call center work knows exactly what this man feels. Give him a fucking medal.
Maybe if the people he was delivering to were being huge ass hats to him. He just trashed someone's shit for no reason. What he deserved was the firing he got.
