Fair enough. Personally, after Season 4 (and episodes like The Suitcase, Beautiful Girls, etc.) the next two seasons felt lacking in comparison and the show ceased to be my "home show" ever since. Still good and deep and thoughtful, mind you (I loved -and was devastated by- Commissions and Fees from S5), but a lot of it felt like a re-tread of certain themes from the earlier seasons (though not executed nearly as well). S7 Part 1 is winning me over again, though. That last scene from The Strategy, mang.I disagree about the drop. I think those were some fantastic episodes in seasons 5 and 6, and both of these seasons represent different things for each of the characters' developments. There's no reason to not enjoy these seasons if you enjoyed the first four; nothing earth-shattering happens, but as always, everything with Mad Men is in the subtext and these two seasons remain as brilliant as the first in moving these characters forward.

I still don't understand how It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is still snubbed when the Emmy's accept shows that are streamed by Netflix.
The Big Bang Theory winning or being nominated for anything over Sunny is a travesty.

Edit: Also comparing this series with a Joon-ho Bong film because they both involve a serial killer is borderline nonsensical. That's like saying Snowpiercer was a better thing than The Wire because it featured a more enjoyable socio-economic critique. Or something just as silly.

Or that The Wire was never awarded oneBut yeah, the fact that the Big Bang theory has been nominated for anything tells you everything you need to know about the Emmys.

I've got to say it... I think Hannibal S2 was better than True Detective. Alright, Alright was great in it, but if you take away the performances all you're left with is a cop drama that wanted to be something more but never achieved it.
The nominations for the 66th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and the big animation news isn’t who was nominated, but who wasn’t: The Simpsons. The yellow-skinned family was denied a nomination in the Outstanding Animated Program for the first time in its history. (While the show wasn’t nominated in the animation category in 1993-’94, that was only because the producers of the show submitted to the comedy category instead, so they have never been denied an animated series nomination when they’ve submitted.)
It's better to think of the Emmys as just an annual TV industry circle jerk rather than a serious awards show.
Or that The Wire was never awarded one
I can't talk much since I have never seen more than 3 episodes of BBT, but what I saw didn't impress me in the least. Maybe it's just not good, or maybe it's just not my cup of tea.
We'll get at least 134 episodes of The Good Wife. I'd take over any award.
Yeah it's a good show. I put off watching it for a long time too. I think the show has an image problem. The name made me think of a Lifetime movie and the fact it's a serial legal drama on CBS doesn't help matters.
O.O no idea how this happened. I literally just clicked "quote", then deleted one line of his post.wtf that's not my post lol
The fact that Big Bang Theory continues to be nominated is a travesty of the highest order.
Also, I was hoping Bellamy Young would get nominated for best supporting actress in drama for Mellie.

It's especially sad after that episode where they essentially beg for an award.
But yeah, the fact that the Big Bang theory has been nominated for anything tells you everything you need to know about the Emmys.
You guys are silly. TBBT is one of the best comedy on TV. Season 7 one of the strongest of the show. So I don't get these kind of comment.
Did you watch Season 7 or it this just lol TBBT reaction "GAF"?
Oh my god, I totally forgot about that. I agree that Boardwalk being snubbed is an even worse crime. Wow.People crying over nonsense like Hannibal when Boardwalk isn't even on there.
I've had to endure enough Big Bang Theory with my dad to know that it's dogshit, yeah.
in other words, you don't have a valid argument about it. Thanks.

I was surprised when this popped up in my feed earlier. Apart from the terrible Lego episode, the second half of the past season was actually a huge improvement. It almost felt like the writers started taking drugs again and found their funny pants.

A tedious bore like Boardwalk being snubbed just proves that sometimes even the Emmys get it right.
It's lowbrow crap that relies on dumb stereotypes for cheap laughs.
Enough of an argument for you?
Wow, season 3 bored you? That's interesting because it was probably the least "boring" of all 4 seasons so far (with the exception of maybe s2). BWE is a slower paced show, but I'd never never call it boring personally. I have to wonder about anyone who can't sit through 40 minutes of such a top notch drama without getting bored. The award is for best drama not best sleeping aid.I like BW, but I never finished the third season because I actually did keep falling asleep.
