Edit : There's some more platforming, but would that really make a difference ?

totally uninteresting, closed it after the fight starts, the constant bullet time/slow move kinda ruins the pacing but overall the run and gun gameplay sucks

Every game is influenced by something else.

Hell, if we waited for every single game to be released that wasn't a copy of some sort of past games... we would have less then 10 games for each console. :D

There's nothing wrong with being influenced or even straight out copying the formulas of previous games. But if you do that, you need to move forwards, not backwards.

My God, I had great times with that game. Directing porn movies was awesome as well as the movie bits with the real Lula in it. By the way, the game was released here under the title 'Lula: A Sexy Empire'.

I'm not gonna say day one
but this game said to me 'Hey, Cowie. You know those things, those things that are your weaknesses? Girls and bullet time? We're going to put them in one game.'

Call it a guilty pleasure, whatever. My games don't need to be good, just fun. And I see myself having fun with this. At or below $40. I'd like a demo to make sure it's playable, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyone else getting a feeling of self parody with this? It really just seems that way, I mean no one could do this seriously right? The music and everything SCREAMS tongue in cheek.

And who the fuck would use a fucking expensive sword, of a type that can easily snap, to pry open doors. Seriously.

I loooooove how it goes into bullet time every single time you fire your gun. And the voice acting? Unfinished or not, is pretty sad.

I was just about to post how I got a sort of Kill Bill vibe from that video. :D I could almost see the potential in the game. I liked the Kill Bill flicks. But this game looks rough. Too much time spent on that "QTE" of her using her sword to open that fence gate. The bullet time is laid on pretty thick. The animations looked pretty bad too, although I know this is a work in progress. Everybody just looks way too stiff. The tv channel flipping part could have been out of a Tarentino movie. I could have sworn I heard a quick clip from a Kung-Fu flick? I don't know.... I guess it's wait and see with this.
