A NeoGAF iPhone Web App

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! My webapp doesn't work!

GAF WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?
 
Checked it too in order to see some pics that don't display nicely on the work computer and it's all broken, had to use the regular site on my Pre browser :(

Kuddos for the app when it worked, I really loved it and is easily the one I use the most on my phone. I'm sure once everything is settled down nicely we'll have a version that works with the new design :D

yep. I only head to the full websites these days when I need to multiquote in a reply or see a gif in its full glory.

It's gaf's loss too as I'm not getting served any ads through secondapps. I don't get Evilore's priorities at all. Mobile web is the future and yet the new skin release gets out with this issue:

-May be a little squishy/ugly at low resolutions (<1280x).

That's a design decision not some unexpected problem. And it hampers like every freaking mobile phone out there, not to mention a couple of netbooks and tablets besides. So the new update breaks the webapp and I have to resort to a site worse than I ever remembered it could be. Two birds with one stone...

GAF has just done a Sony on us! This was a bit sudden and unexpected but im sure the app will be sorted shortly!

Sorry that Evilore is making you life a pain ckohler. Hopefully this new skin isn't specifically designed to screw over the webapp. I couldn't live without it!

webapp search is just google search. which is now what the forum has added with the new skin.

I don't disagree with the sentiment of how good the web app is, but the new site also has "built-in search." i.e. a search box in the upper right corner.

EDIT: Heh, opened this tab a while ago and got beaten a few times over. If only the site had auto-refresh!
 
EMERGENCY! ALARM! ALERT!

...when I tried to use the webapp and entered a thread I got visually raped with errors. This new site layout has pwned the webapp...the webapp MUST GO ON!

Help us CKohler...you're our only hope!
 
Whatever you need, ckohler. If you need me to call your boss and pretend to be a doctor explaining your one day case of Typhoid fever to get you out of work, let me know.

Thanks alot for the fix. On my work it's the only way to get access to NeoGaf to use my phone. And it would be a dull night shift for me without it.

Okay, I think I fixed everything. Posting from the app to be sure. I had to change the "view profile" button on the main menu to just "log out". Otherwise, everything else still works.

Thankfully, only the header/footer changed. If they had redesigned the look of the messages it would have taken a lot longer to fix.

Fucking CKohler...I seriously wish you and GAF both took donations. I'm hardly that guy, but getting all this shit for free is god damned criminal :lol
 
My man ckohler!!!! Don't know if I'd be able to go through another commute without being able to browse thru GAF....hats off to you sir!

someone wake up ckohler. the final gaf 2010 skin is up and the webapp requires some more tweaking to work again.

at least the final version of the skin isn't awful like that short lived beta :D

Wow you're right, I didn't even notice the minor changes until you mentioned it. I was using the app last night and it was great!
 
Why has our lord and savior forsaken us? Why is he not at our beck and call immediately when he is demanded?!

Is this a sign that the NeoGAF web app will no longer be supported?! Is this the end of days?!??!

It's a good thing I have a new PSP game to occupy me on the train this week, because without iPhone GAF browsing, I would lose my shit.

man, I'd rather browse fullpage gaf on the iPhone than the PSP. :lol

i've always found that browser to be shit.

and, yup, looks like it's been fixed in the last 30 minutes or so.

There's still a few issues. The thread description says "advertise" when you're replying, and I sent one post that disappeared. Also, hitting the "Main" button takes you to the FAQ.
