What does the Neogaf header with the “I” button do at the top? is it a link to account info or something?

Err, Anovice is making an Android app (after he finishes the iPhone one.)

What I'm concerned with is how he's planning to get it on the App Store. I learned a while after Anovice announced this that there was another native NeoGAF iPhone app but it got rejected.

that’s great. so the “somebody” in my post happens to be anovice. cool.

still, as you say. he’s doing it after he’s done with the iPhone version. it’s not like having a native app for either platform is going to make a huge difference to the experience, hence my comment about just using the plain webapp.
 
meanwhile browse gaf with opera mini beta 5 guys. It's fast and looks pretty good on my Android. Sorry iphone folks...
edit: the man is too fast lol. just keep what i said in mind if it breaks again.

Chokler's neogaf works perfectly on Adroid in my experience.
 
Hey guys - Next screencast is ready!

Quite a bit of work has been done on the bugs, login and connection module. The connection module doesn't look too pretty just yet, but it does actively check for a lost connection; a very important thing for App Store approval. If you try to do anything needing the network, it will block and wait for an active connection. Basic stuff!

I'm making every effort possible to ensure this passes store approval. Worst case scenario? Only an Android app. I can also release the iPhone app to those who have jailbroken.

Looks super slick. How do external links work, do the pages load in the app, with an option for Safari?

It'd be cool if the app remembered the pages you have open when you exit it. ...if it doesn't already :D

Dude, gotta say: that looks pretty awesome! One things it's lacking though: Subscriptions. I only use that page really to keep uptodate with the threads I post in.

Other than that, awesome!
 
Keep an eye out for the neogaf logo, in the top header, in a future screencast. ;-)

External links open in a fly up modal, as well as images. The toolbar at the bottom has a compass to open your current page in Safari, as will the modal - similar to the facebool app.

Remembering the pages you are on are on the todo. :-)

Yes, release it for those who have jailbroken. :D I was asking for the other native app being released for those who have jailbroken iphones.
 
hey ckohler, a quick heads up -- the logo you have on the app currently is the old, compressed version with a stray pixel. you may wanna grab the current one, which is cleaner, better res, and is lacking all those artifacts.
 
Well I'm using this now, so thank you!

Previously I liked the way GAF worked on vanilla Safari, I zoomed on the comments column and it read great for me. Small text but I've got good eyesight I suppose. But since the redesign the fonts are ridiculously small, sigh.
 
There seems to be a bug where if I have somebody on my ignore list, the post won't show up, but neither will any post after it. It's not consistent though, some users just have their posts not show up, others totally destroy the page.

I'm not sure that's related to ignore. Earlier today there was something that made all posts not show up. I have no-one ignored.

I think it is. I just blocked the first 3 posters after the first post on the previous page (no offence, bros!) and:
