Nice update! Using it now. Did you tweak the "large" text size to be a bit smaller? Or am I seeing things? Small text option is too small Imo but default is nice

Fantastic update ckohler! You are a god among members.

Just one suggestion, with the page selection instead of a text input use a selection list or selection wheel as I like to call it.
Would have to be slot machine style with each number on it's own wheel or anything with more than 10 pages would be annoying.

I'm just getting a 404 error for this since the update. :(
Going to old links I had gave me that. I had to go directly to secondapps.com/neogaf.

Yeah that is what I meant. It definitely would be annoying if there are hundreds of pages for a thread.

It was originally a wheel, if memory serves. Like you've said, it was a nightmare if there were loads of pages.

And thanks for adding the clickable image boxes, ckohler. :D

Um. What's wrong with the browser refresh button?
you have to scroll to the top of the page to to use it on the iphone browser. usually after a refresh it returns you to where you were on the page. With the iphone browser that just leaves me at the top of the page and it's not as easy to find the last post I read in that thread.

another nice little touch that's been added.

when using the jump to bottom/ jump to top buttons, this no longer affects the history in the browser, so tapping the back button in safari no longer brings you to your previous position on the page but instead back to the last page, as it should.

nice attention to detail.

Agreed with the above.

Noticed it looked better today with all it's new tweaks, and of course this thread was revived.
Thanks much!

Wanted to say thanks. This web-app is fantastic, and the new update is even better. Thanks for all the work, it's extremely appreciated. =)

One thing I'd love if it were changed... the settings does not work on my phone (Windows Mobile 5, Internet Explorer). I guess they're some sort of touch-responsive buttons (do you slide them over?), but they don't have an equivalent for me so I just see the text without buttons to click.

Is it possible to add a check box or some other sort of option to the settings menu for those of us without iPhones? I'd love to turn off avatars. I can enter the time zone change, but selecting a new option doesn't work either.

I just got an iPhone... is this thing an actuall app, like in the app store?
Because if it is, I can't find it...
Er...dude :lol

Read the thread OP?
Read the thread title?!

The new IMAGE boxes don't work with the 2 smilies on the forum.

On the app they appear as follows:

:DIMAGE
:lolIMAGE

(actually, I dunno if the LOL smiley even shows.)

The app just gets more awesome. I hate to make a suggestion cuz it's so awesome but is there anyway you could add the time of the last post in a thread when you display all the threads?

When I look through the topics on my laptop I use the time on the last post as a way of seeing the last topic that has been updated since the last time I checked the forum.

Update:

Version 1.6 is now live. You may need to click your browser's refresh button to update your cache as I've made a change to the javascript file as well.

NEW FEATURES:
  • Search - From any forum screen you can now perform a search. This uses Google to do the searching and returns up to 100 results sorted by relevancy. Keep in mind that this feature is experimental.
  • Inline Image Loading - If you have images disabled, you can now click the [IMAGE] box and the resulting image will be displayed without having it open in a new window.

FIXES:
  • Removed the "submit" button from the settings screen. Now tapping on the On/Off sliders will save your changes as you go.
  • Minor code tweaks.

When I finally possess an iPhone, I shall use this. The features-list alone sounds drool worthy. Awesome job. Evilore should personally give you a tag.

Awesome stuff.

Is there any way you could add the time of the last post in a topic when listing all the topics?

I've been using this since it first came out and it's been awesome. Just wanted to say thanks. It's great for 2-3 minute bursts of time wasting:)

I just wanted to say that this is awesome, it loads great on my Instinct + Opera Mini but so does the reg board. Awesome work though, I'll probably use this.

I've said it before, but goddamnit if it doesn't bear repeating. This is hands down the single most used icon on my springboard and my most visited webpage.

You're hard work is appreciated by me on a daily basis.

ckohler,

Can you automate the process of making this web app? If you can, you can probably make a few bucks by selling the process or a program that does it to other vbulletin users. There are a lot of boards out there that would love to use this.

Or, if that rubs you the wrong way morally, you can give it away and just include your name as a credit to get some recognition.

Awesome stuff.
