I fixed the issue with Chrange's posts. He has crazy HTML in his tag. I had to make a special exception. :p

Not sure what causes the user titles to stretch in Opera Mini. At least it works. :)
Well, not to backseat code or anything, but you could "sanitize" the user tag on the server side when you grab the page from GAF.

Limit the number of characters + strip HTML = no problems! :D

That's exactly what I'm doing. The tricky part is that in order to find a user's tag in the HTML, I have to navigate the DOM and because some users have bad HTML in their tags and others don't, the DOM is inconsistent. It confuses the library I use to scrape the DOM. It's tricky.

i haven't been able to use this app in months....what are the improvements you guys are seeing today?

quoting myself here....do you have a website with a changelog, ckohler?

I don't usually post on neogaf, but since this works from my phone now, I thought I'd give you props.

You're a legend of the highest order. Much respect. :D

Posting with the web app unsubscribes you from a subscribed thread, similar to Mobile GAF. I use subscriptions extensively (By default I subscribe to everything I post in), so this is a bit of a problem for me. I'll log out for now and just do it the old way.
That is a bummer. I use subscriptions pretty extensively as well.

Edit: Yep, was just unsubscribed to this thread. Wonder how difficult it would be to add the Thread Subscription drop down bar. Still love the App, but yeah.

Yeah, it's really insane how big of a contribution to our community this is.
Even on EDGE this thing works pretty fast.

The next update will have this. I already have it working.

Is there a reason that emailed iPhone GAF pages now just redirect to the main board index and not the correct url on GAF proper? I often find something on my phone on the train and wouldn't mind reading it at home/work without having to find the topic manually, it used to work fine, was this intentional?

Finally! Posting from the web app is so GDLK! I would never bother posting using the old method (via iPhone). This changes everything. Great stuff ckohler!

You're too good to us.

This app is so awesome. I use it all the time and it just keeps getting better. You've done a great job on it, ckohler.

Something that I tested earlier, and was wondering - emoji.

As far as I understand, it's just a strange character set, right? It gets interpreted by the iPhone as being the right thing, but just shows as gibberish text to things without it.

Now is it a limitation of the web, the forum engine, or the web app that doesn't allow them? I think having the emoji enabled for the web app could be kinda cool, although that might mean we get a barrage of gibberish that would annoy people not using it... (maybe why it doesn't work now).

No Java on Windows Mobile 5's IE so I'm SOL on the new features.. still handy for reading though.

So then how do I download it to my BB? Sorry, I just got one...
You don't actually download anything with this app -- it's all done through the web. Juice is working on a downloadable iPhone app separate from this.

The webapp is accessed by a weblink. All you need is the link. On the iPhone you can make a weblink from the home page. It also has it's own icon!

It works in opera mini but honestly it loses it's charm on such a small screen with a browser that messes with its format. Still, you can decide for yourself.

ckohler, everything works awesome for me on Android, but I still don't get a favicon. Do you know if other Android users have a similar (extremely minor) problem or whether it's just me? Thanks.

i was just gonna ask about this. you're fukkin awesome. Will also let you see what threads you've subscribed too as well? When will the update be out?

Just a suggestion or two.

I'm a compulsive editor, and it does not appear there is a way to.

Also, clicking on any NeoGAF link would open that link in app.

Great stuff, dude.

I don't know if you've addressed this yet or not, but is there anyway we could get the user control panel on the web app? Or is that something that could come with the actual app (are you still gonna try to submit it to the app store? I remember they rejected it once). Either way, as someone who has used the web app since day 1, these new upgrades are sweet and all the work you've put in is much appreciated!

The native app is Juice's.

Both apps are awesome.

Oh my bad. Can you rundown the main differences between the two?
The lines are starting to blur with ckholer's latest update, but in the end it comes down to the interface.

I imagine Juice ultimately will be able to do more with his app, however ckholer is able to hit all mobile devices, not just the iPhone.

They're both crazy awesome, and they seem to have a healthy relationship in regards to their apps...so we all win!
