I'm on the Nexus one but have just realised there's an arrow at the top of the topic page that will take you to the last post, so 2 clicks instead of one but still faster than scrolling.
 
I just started using this(fixed my iPod wifi problem after 2 years!!:lol ) and I'd like to say thank you for this great app. I wish more forums had something like this, it is truly brilliant
 
Lately on my droid with stock browser, the suscribed thread screen doesn't size to the screen anymore, the arrows to be taken to the last page are off screen and I have to scroll to show them. Weird.

Try clearing your cache. I get this glitch sometimes on the stock browser.

It'd be a for a single device instead of all devices, and the only real benefit I can think of would be that transitions between screens would have animations instead of just loading pages.

You could perhaps do a bit more, but I don't see where they'd be advantageous enough to overcome the advantages of the webapp version.

This has been happening to me on my iPhone. But I've tried clearing the cache, the history, the cookies- everything. But it still happens, only on my subscribed threads page though.

Edit: OK it works now

why this thread? iPad thread seems better suited to discuss it.

There’s some merit to the article, that’s for sure. I especially noticed inconsistencies when looking over the 5 or 6 main news apps. they all take different approaches to navigation and it’s not clear what sections are scrollable, tappable, etc.

I much prefer when it’s clear that a button is a button. (one exception: Zune HD interface, where pretty much all text is tappable)
 
Getting a Nokia e72 or 71 this week, and wanted to know if there were any NeoGAF app for thoses phones (symbian).

I tough I might ask here since there is no other thread.

You can use this on Nokia phones, as far as I'm aware. I had an N95 8gb before my N1 and it worked ok, although the images could sometimes be distorted.

works fine on Nokias. Only negative is that on touch Nokias, the 'reply' button is covered up by the 'come out of full screen view' button. So if you want to reply you end up having to come out of full screen view, scroll the screen down a little bit then hit the reply button.

Be nice to have the reply button somewhere else along the bottom if possible, but its little more than a niggle.

EDIT : okay It's a mobile site, I tought it was a dedicated app...
 
Hey guys, I recently got an iPod Touch and added a link to the site. It works really really well, and Im loving it so far, but Im having one major problem. Whenever I go to reply and try to post my actual reply, nothing happens. In fact, the smiley faces, bold, etc don't seem to work either. I click on them and nothing happens. Anyone else experiencing this?
 
There are aspects of this app that I wish were in regular NeoGAF.

Incredible work. I love it so, so much.

Make sure you have Javascript turned on. You may have disabled it.

This app is the most used thing on my iPhone, now guys with ipads do I go this app or the normal site? I'm thinkng this so far.

Also If the |OT| tag is being used for the Official Threads now of the gaming side any chance of a option in the settings to make them a nice pale yellow or something? Like how your own threads are green.
 
Might I ask how you go about passing the login information to the neogaf server for authentication? As well, how do you pass the replies to the vbulletin new reply script? I'm currently writing my own webapp to view some other forums and I can display forums and threads as if the user was anonymously browsing, but I'm trying to figure out where to go from there.

EDIT: I'm having trouble logging in. Wen I click on the User Name field or PW field the keyboard doesn't stay up. It comes for about a split second then drops back down.

I'm on iOS 4 if that makes a difference ..

EDIT 2: It worked when I switched to vertical keyboard. Weird.
 
Ok so l now use this on my itouch whilst l'm lounging around on the sofa watching the World Cup

...Excellent stuff..........Cheers.
