Just bookmark the main menu and pick it from your bookmarks. That way you skip the page requests.X-Frame said:Some questions: is there a way for me to quickly get back to the Main screen once I'm inside a thread? Right now I have to I think go backwards by hitting Forum and then back to Main to get to my subscribed threads.
This is difficult to do because images/avatars/etc. affect the length of the page and making scrolling to a specific place not work right. For example, the browser will initially go the correct post but then the page will get longer displaying a different one.And is it difficult to implement functionality that when you click on a subscribed thread it'll auto-jump to the first new post since I left? I know regular NeoGAF doesn't have this which I think is important given the huge threads but just curious. Thanks!

In fact, all of the recent bugs have been due to changes GAF mods are making. It seems they are trying to add some kind of cache system. I've been getting weird Guru Meditation 505 errors when I browse on my desktop.
Typo. I meant 503.Zombie James said:505? I've been seeing 503.
Yeah you have to click quote.Mik2121 said:I just got the iPad and I was wondering if it's better to use the web app or just use the normal site? Right now I'm on the normal site but I heard some stuff about not being able to read spoilers. Is that still true??
Same here, I'm never off the bloody thing. Infact I'm writing this whilst sat in the pool bar, waiting for my ride to the airport so I can fly home from Rhodes :lolEmSeta said:This thing is just getting better and better. I use it way too much.
I asked ckohler this too and said it would be very difficult to implement.kottila said:Is there a way to go to last read thread instead of going to last post? I never remember which page I'm on in the megathreads.
Also the buttons like "Spoiler" and "More" are really blurry on my iPhone 4 now - any plans to update them all?kitchenmotors said:Can we get an updated icon to take advantage of the iPhone 4 screen? It looks so out of place with the rest of my icons. :lol
No it doesn't. Get a new phone.besiktas1 said:Taking suggestions?Could you disable the youtube videos embedding, slows page down...
Do you see the arrows on the right side of the thread names in the thread list?Zzoram said:The web app is nice but there is no way to jump straight to the last page of a thread, at least not in the Blackberry Internet Browser. I think Opera Mini showed a Last Page button while viewing the forums, but I stopped using it for various reasons.
I specifically mean a last page button when viewing the forum list of threads. I know I can open page 1 of the thread then click last page, but that's an extra step that slows things down a lot, especially on GAF where page 1 is usually full of gigantic images.

off-topic, but i used to own an iphone 3g, and i recall the screenshots being about the size of the screen - do they all need to be resized down to the correct size now with iphone 4, or have you enlarged this manually to make it clearer what you were referring to?
That's the size of iPhone 4 screencaps because that's the resolution of them. It's just condensed to the normal screen, which is why there's more pixel density/Retina screen fun.tabsina said:off-topic, but i used to own an iphone 3g, and i recall the screenshots being about the size of the screen - do they all need to be resized down to the correct size now with iphone 4, or have you enlarged this manually to make it clearer what you were referring to?

Clicking on those takes you to the last page of the thread.
Since the iPhone 4's got an increased resolution over the previous models, screenshots from the new phone will look substantially bigger (4x more space covered) than the previous ones.tabsina said:off-topic, but i used to own an iphone 3g, and i recall the screenshots being about the size of the screen - do they all need to be resized down to the correct size now with iphone 4, or have you enlarged this manually to make it clearer what you were referring to?

Just use one of the bookmarklets that lets you use a custom icon for bookmarks on the home screen - there's one here - and plug in the URL of that image when it prompts you. Then add a home screen icon as normal and it should look nice and crisp.
:lol agreed - i did know why they would be bigger if it was by default, just wasn't sure if they were indeed by defaultRubxQub said:Since the iPhone 4's got an increased resolution over the previous models, screenshots from the new phone will look substantially bigger (4x more space covered) than the previous ones.
The jist is that all those pixels of the big screenshot are then mushed down into the 3.5" screen and you end up getting a really sharp picture.
The downside is of course that screenshots now look comically oversized compared to the old ones. :lol

Derp, mine keeps switching back to the old, fugly icon. Any tips?NekoFever said:Can't help with the rest of it, but I made an icon for the iPhone 4 home screen:

Your life just changed, son. Trust me.NJ Shlice said:Edit* Nevermind, I never knew you could log in to the web app. Mind blown.
Yeah, mine did too. In the end I just made an HTML document with that icon and a redirect to this app and bookmarked that instead. Hopefully it will be officially updated before too long.A Penguin said:Derp, mine keeps switching back to the old, fugly icon. Any tips?
You must not be logged in. Look at the bottom.lawblob said:How come the iPad web app no longer highlights my own posts in green, and now re-directs me to the standard web page to make a post?
