A NeoGAF iPhone Web App

What is the likelihood of an actual app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone? I'm sure GAF could help fund the project

There was talks a few months ago that evilore was gonna work with ckohler to make an app.

I have the same problem on my iPad :(
 
Woah. I haven't used the proper site in ages.

Came here out of necessity, cos I can't post on my iPad either. Refresh shoots to the top of the page and images load on new pages if you load them and you have images disabled. Annoying. The search has been broken for a while now though, yes?

Also, I can't post from my S2. Or at least, I can't see what I'm writing.

Why would this change, and only affect some people?
 
Yeah something weird happened with this last night for me. I posted a message and it worked fine. Next message I post doesn't go. I mean when I hit "post" nothing would happen. Was weird.
 
I am having some of the issues others have noted and they started last night. "Refresh" just takes me to the top of the page, and many other buttons do similar. I cleared cache, cookies since it had been months since doing that and now I can't login and I get the javascript required error even though its enabled.

The app uses javascript for tons of stuff and seems to be having several js errors. The anchors on the buttons just have a '#' for their hrefs (href="#") and the javascript overrides this action and doesn't what it needs. Since the js fails, the button href falls back to the "#" and you get nothing but the page being scrolled to the top.

Hopefully its an easy bug to fix.

Note: I also tried this in Safari on my Mac and set the user agent to iPhone and get the same results.

Edit: Its failing to load (404s) at least one js file so that's probably contributing.

Edit2: Has anyone contacted ckohler?

Edit3: I just PMed him. Hopefully he hasn't gotten too many. I just saw the post that said he follows this thread regularly. Oops.
 
first things first, great app... and now for a bug (sort of)

when using IE9 on Windows Phone there's a blue border around avatars (it only shows up when you're logged in)

Wow. I did not notice that and I use this webapp religiously. Can't unsee
 
Search been broken made me sad last week, and the post button being broken earlier today forced me to go to the normal site... *shudder*
All's well now so I'm back to normal. Thanks for the fixes!

What I did was just make it a bookmark along with subscriptions, gaming and off topic. Makes jumping around really easy.

Is there any workaround, or fix, for the posting issue on the stock Android browser? The issue being that, when you try to post, it'll scroll to the bottom of the text box so that you can't see what you're typing. Any effort to try and get it to scroll back to the top just results in it snapping back to the bottom, which is really frustrating.

I can get around it by using Firefox, or Opera, but I'd rather not give up using the stock browser if it can be at all avoided.

Pan down really slowly.
 
Also, if you are able to tap out of the text box deselecting it then it won't default to filling up the screen.
 
A few suggestions for the webapp.

Would like to see when a post was last edited and I wish non-spaced words like web links or just any big ass word that's used for effect wrapped around the screen.
 
Any way you can get this going on an HP Veer? I get the non mobile issue on that browser.

This causes major frustration for me as well.
 
The only feature I'm missing is a notification for PM's. The only way I know I have a new PM is to check the main page, which I almost never do.
 
I just found an incredible feature. Tap "View Forum" at the top of the games forum or OT and you'll get linked to the opposite board.
 
Will we ever get a reply/login screen within secondapps instead of redirecting to the actual GAF site?

edit: whaaaaaat. It already is like that according the OP. When I browse with android - Opera mini I get the actual neogaf site which breaks the lite flow of everything :(

it works well on my Windows Phone 7 and iPod Touch.
