Drkirby said:Maybe because every Subway is a franchise and can tweek the prices as they see fit? I hate how so many of them have uped the price to make it a meal, they want like $3 when I can still find a few that will charge me only $1.50 and let me get my Ham and Turkey Sub for $5.
Saddly I don't remember which one that was, most likely 50 miles away anyhow :/

End this silly burger competition...this place serves burgers, fries (made in pure lard) with non filtered cigarettes and jolt cola...plus they have 'nurses' take care of you.

No. I skipped lunch and I am starving, but still wouldn't go near "that", even if givien to me for free.Neckbeard said:It's probably because I just finished lunch, but all of this looks utterly disgusting. I'm sure that tune will change around dinner time though...

I usually get a 2x4 at In and Out (two meat, 4 cheese). Well, something got mixed up last time and they did give me a 2x4 but it was 4 meats and 2 cheese. Let me just say, eating all that meat at once was BRUTAL!. I would rather have more cheese than meat on a burger/sandwich any day. I'm not going to let that happen again. I can't imagine what consuming this must feel like after enduring that bad experience.
This!!vicissitudes said:The Double Down was innovative. This is...stupid. I don't see the difference between eating this and eating 3 cheeseburgers in a row.

But anyway back to this new gimmick from Carl Jr's. I agree with the others in this thread that this is a step back from the innovation brought to us by the KFC Double Down. I was hoping that more businesses would follow KFC's lead and get rid of the bread on their burgers, but so far it isn't happening. It's like they don't understand what makes the Double Down so special. It's not the fat content or the calories, it's the lack of bread. This is the future of fast food. More and more food that uses meat as the outside layers instead of bread.

Best part is fat people eat free...if you are over 350lbs.trupclow said:How does this place make money? Their slogan might as well be "We are going to sell things that kill you, but instead of being coy about it like big tobacco, we just flat out tell you so". It's practically euthanasia for fat people...

Mudkips said:"2 pizza buns" == "2 buns that are pizzas".
"2 pizza buns" != "2 pizza crusts", because pizza crusts can not be referred to as "buns".
