Some mobile garbage more likely.
B-but you guys love Lightning, surely. They wouldn't have made so many games with her if you didn't.
I only ever played KH 1 and 2, but I recall at the end of 2 there being ascene with old (ancient?) keybladers. Was this ever made into a game? Who were they? Was it ever explored? I don't know shit about this
Lightning is Square's John Cena ended up being a prophecy.
Final Fantasy praecessor XIII: aeternum scrotum caeruleus per Fulmen
I lost all hope in Square Enix
Ogre Battle.
Please, I need this
As far as completely fresh stories and untapped potential, those three are probably the best, because they aren't weighed down by too much story and still have a sense of mystery regarding their worlds.I-III: NOOOOOO
The original battle versus Enuo(not to be confused with the 4 Braves of Dawn adventure) where the 12 heroes(with their 12 legendary weapons) defeated the ultra powerful sorcerer and saved the world. That's what I'd call a perfect fit for a prequel that is related to the world of FFV while distancing itself enough to be it's own tale.V: Nah, I doubt it.
War of the Magi, sure, but as FFVI is my favorite, I wouldn't want to see it happen solely because Square's gotten pretty shit at writing stories, and I know they'd do something to fuck up FFVI.VI: YES.
Age of the Cetra, where we see FFVII's world pre-Midgar, pre-Shinra, pre-modern/cyberpunk setting and pre-Sephiroth, but we get to witness Jenova's coming and play as the heroic Cetran warriors that defeat and seal Jenova.VII: Already had Crisis Core, what more could
they add? Likely though, cuz its Squeenix.
See, I don't think Laguna's adventures warrant a full game(just like I don't think the Braska/Auron/Jecht pilgrimage is worthy of a full game). But, there IS a historical event revolving around a hero named Vascaroon that might be better fitting for a prequel.VIII: Weird because they had Laguna in the main game already. Nah.
Terra's golden age.IX: No idea what this would involve.
Meh. FFX, the only prequel I'd be willing to swallow would be something regarding the Bevelle/Zanarkand War, or even something older than that. Everything else, IMO, wouldn't feel right.X: I'd probably bite. Auron and Yuna's Dad's Pilgrimige?
Yes, they could, considering FFXII was just one event occurring in one region of the ENTIRE WORLD. FFXII gets some leeway because it was more a personal adventure not enveloping the world's entirety. By that, you can do something in another region and it could totally work.XII: Would also be interested. They could do a lot with this one.
Agree with you totally on this one, for better or worse!XIII: FUCK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. And the sad thing is, it's one of the more likely choices. PLEASE
STOP.
I like it, but I doubt that would be it, especially before a HD release/collection happens. X seems likely, given the reception it received by SE's standard and in comparison to LR.I-III: NOOOOOO
IV: It's already had enough.
V: Nah, I doubt it.
VI: YES.
VII: Already had Crisis Core, what more could
they add? Likely though, cuz its Squeenix.
VIII: Weird because they had Laguna in the main game already. Nah.
IX: No idea what this would involve.

Real talk, I would love an FF6 prequel about the War of the Magi
It's so accurate. That's the funny thing.
Oh yeah, this right here. But, present day SE won't go back to 6.
It's actually three prequels to Final Fantasy XV.
Two of them will come out before the main title, and the third will be delayed until next gen.
You because there was so much to draw from in FF6's paper thin plot that could be used to create another game.
There is a good chance of being prequels of FF XV, sure it would be too soon to announce them but SE could be trying to do them at the same time like with FFXIII-2 and FFXIII LR.
In a perfect world it would be a ff6 prequel Trilogy set during the war of the magi. Ahhhh one man can dream
In a perfect world there would be no prequels or sequels to FF games.

It will be the Chrono games, prequel trilogy that are also sequels because of the time jumping.
If only.
First post did not disappoint.Lightning Begins: Final Fantasy XIII-0
I hope it is another 3 Lightning/XIII games. I need something I can laugh at for the next month.
Is this a joke post?
We truly can not see her.Lightning is Square's John Cena ended up being a prophecy.
Not really. FF6's plot is not overly complex but it was well told with strong characters. There really is not a lot to mine for a prequel story. Even the War of the MAGI does not have clear characters on both sides (random humans turned into Espers, the The Warring Traid which we know nothing about). There are only vague references.
