OT but why hasn't this motherfucker gotten his own show yet?

Edit: Sorry. Will like AoS less without Bobbi and Nick but will give new show a chance.

The show has been ordered to pilot.

(Thanks Madridista for the info!)

I was confused. That article is from August 2015.

This is the new info.
“We are making it in the next few months,” Lee said during a TCA panel today. “It’s a really good script.”

The project, originally developed last season and then reworked after the upfronts, comes from S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski.

The only way I see this working is if Civil War causes a long split even on AoS, where these two turn into outlaws that fight for good or something but are basically enemies of SHIELD.

those two actors are awesome and have great on screen chemistry

and i havent even seen season 3 yet...

Do we really need 3 shows with so close a theme (SHIELD, Agent Carter, and this)?

I think that's the bad part about shared TV and movie universe. Marvel is playing it so safe on the TV side (though at least they're doing some pretty cool stuff on Netflix).

I used to be against the separated universes that DC is doing, but I've really come around to it, since they can use pretty big characters and do anything they want with them.

I did my whole I don't get why ABC continues to pour resources into Marvel show thing when this was originally re-announced

So guess go the other direction, where would they stick this?

Someone suggested getting rid of Agent Carter and having this be the winter fill-in, which could work. Also would allow them to still be on SHIELD for the most part.

Or I guess could do AoS, Agent Carter in the winter break and this over summer break.

I think they're getting rid or swapping this out for Agent Carter. Can't tell you why, it's just a hunch I've had. Damage Control would kind of fill the female-led show vibe too.

Really weird that they have three new Marvel shows in development (this, Damage Control, and the John Ridley project), and yet the only one they're full steam ahead on is the direct spinoff of a show with middling (if acceptable in the current broadcast climate) ratings.

Though Powerless being ordered to pilot probably doesn't help Damage Control's chances.

From his recent interview doesn't sound like Ridley show is in production for next season. Though could do midseason or he just likes being vague.

But I've given up trying to understand their logic with this brand.
