It’s official: Hydra is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — sort of. At the end of “Self Control,” the last episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, Daisy “Quake” Johnson and Jemma Simmons entered the Framework, a virtual world not unlike “The Matrix.” In the Framework, Coulson and his team have been living their “ideal” lives; that is, lives without regret. However, that means the Framework’s MCU has changed in fundamental ways, not the least of which is the fact that Hydra was never stopped from taking over S.H.I.E.L.D. In other words: Hydra’s back, and it looks like they’re there to stay.

These are awesome.

This show has had one of the biggest turnarounds I can think of.

Slayven doing the Lord's work by dedicating a thread to this.

If you haven't watched Agents of S.H.I.E.D., do that now. It's fantastic.

Season 4 has been so good. A huge recovery for this show.

I don't think it needed that huge of a recovery. The second half of season 3 was definitely shaky but it's not like it plummeted into Heroes territory. It just went through a rough patch after the greatness of "the end of season 1 to middle of season 3."

The two-part season finale was great.

I would love to know wtf happened w/ S3 derailing like it did. S2 and S4 are both fantastic.

Yeah the first half of Season 1 and most of Season 3 are definitely the weak points. Season 2 was really awesome, but 4 has been hands down the best Season by far. I actually think Season 4 of SHIELD is the best live action super hero show

I just think the Hive stuff didn't end up working out very well. The first half of season 3 was still great but the Hive stuff just didn't land well.

Has the show officially been renewed for a season 5 yet? This could be the end, and it seems like the ratings have been slowly declining.

Imagine if someone told you during season 1 that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be what introduced Ghost Rider to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that it would be done to near perfection.

Even people who enjoyed season 1 would have laughed.

It's more than that. Virtually every plot on the show that season revolved around someone's
SO being killed.
Could anybody help me with a really short summary for season 4? I stopped halfway through S3.
Ghost Rider. Folowed by stuff that's equally as good.

What makes people think Season 3 is weak? Besides Lincoln I was all in

I think the Hive stuff turned people off. And I agree, I don't think it worked out well.

But I think people mix up the first half of the season with it and that's a shame. The first half is just as good as season 2 and it has one of the best episodes of the series.

Not yet. Live ratings are poor though, yes.

The head of ABC recently spoke highly of the show though and she's aware that while the live ratings are bad, AoS has one of the biggest DVR percentage boosts on TV. With network television in general doing very poorly, my hope is that ABC sticks with it as a 10 PM show.

I also think they have the chance to market a "Marvel block" of television with Inhumans and AoS in the fall, which could be interesting.

I sorta stalled out mid Season 3 but based on what people are saying I guess I'll keep going. I really enjoyed the second half of S1 and most of S2 though. Pretty fun show. S3 was mostly bland without Kyle Mac chewing the scenery.

I really want to give this a show another shot, but that first season is just.....man

Push through it on Netflix. It works a lot better when you're not going week to week.

The first half is very rough but has payoff down the line. It gets better in the second half and a lot better when Winter Soldier hits near the end.

Clark Gregg teased it earlier in the year. If the last third of this season is entirely in the framework and they go there, that means it's not really real.

Are you referring to this from August 2016?

He was just making a joke about allowing naked people on the show due to the new time slot. Haha.

Trust me, there is no chance Marvel allows any of their TV shows to even hint at Savage Land.

Such a great show. Everyone who dropped this show get back into it!

Just sucks that we had to lose Bobbi over the possibility of a spin off that never panned out.

if Lash is actually cool looking, I think people will be more forgiving about it. I like the story progression in season 3 just fine, but remember when Lash is first shown people make fun of it.
