Acai Berry - Yay or nay?

So I was over at a friends house last night when she was on the computer and was reading about this amazing berry which had all sorts of amazing cleansing and weight loss properties.

She told me they were called "Acai berries" and immediately the name struck a bell. I'd seen drinks at the store and stuff but never bought them or thought much of them. After further reading it seemed like this was the real deal. I'm thinking about trying a 1 month free trial but before I do so I wanted to know what GAF thought about this stuff.

Has anyone here tried the pills? Do they work? Do they do anything?

I found that site and apparently "Acai Berry Edge" is the best.

along with raspberry goji it's the first new sugar-free jello cup flavor in a kajillion years so i approve

I have some concentrated Acai exctract, I try to take 2-3 drops per day. Doesn't do anything that I can detect, but it was expensive, so...

With all due respect, if you're using this as a way to lose weight because you want a quick solution to something, I would avoid this route completely.

If you're concerned about weight, start walking. It doesn't have to be super intense, but start doing something - drop as much sugar and soda from your diet as you can, switch to teas, cut out snacking foods. Those things can do far better than a miracle diet berry.

If you're using it for "cleansing" purposes, then, it can't hurt.

HAHA - I knew a woman taking that stuff... she couldn't wear white pants for a year - JUST in case.

She once described her "movements" as "like the grease on top of a pizza" mmmm hmmmm miracle!

My wife ordered them online when I wasnt paying attention. She was like "its only $4.95 and I can cancel if I dont like it" they came in and I was liek wtf is this. I go and do research and find out all the horrible rep the site gets for charging people even if they send back on time and want to cancel. I tell her she to call up the company and send it back.

Luckily we didnt get screwed over, but I felt bad for her(my wife is very naive) because she just sat on the couch and looked at me sad and said "I sowwy babe, i was just trying to lose weight faster". My wife is like 130lbs after she had our daughter(was 110 prior to being pregnant).

Tell your wife she's beautiful and she should not have to worry about weight after going through a MAJOR MAJOR change to her body.

apologies for bump, but given its been a while since anyone has posted, has any gaffer got any proven results with this so called magical berry? or were those cheap scam artists making millions out of these 'duds'?

I've never even seen an acai berry, but somehow they figure prominently into my drinks.

I've never seen a Sesame but their fucking seeds are all over my hamburger buns.
