Started Sleeping Dogs today and love it so far. After about 6h I got 13/50 achievements worth 135GS. Overall it's a pretty easy achievement list, some of them might be time consuming.
Don't know much about it, just seen lots of ads on TV. Is it fairly linear or does it have a sandbox environment with stories you approach like GTA?

Yup, I figured it out in the end once I got past it not connecting to the server properly, I might have to move onto Motorstorm RC seeing how easy it is to get two platinums for one purchase, lol.
I felt the same way, I enjoyed most of the normal game but the Death levels are ridiculous, the only trophies more annoying than ones based on luck are online trophies, but most of the time they are just a time waste while luck ones might never come about.
Reminds me of the PvZ "Lucky Spin" trophy, I spent weeks and weeks trying to get that trophy and never did till they patched it, really annoying.

Platted R&C 3 (dat grinding, I am so burned out on Ratchet right now it's not even funny. Liked Up Your Arsenal the best though) and working on Mutant Blobs Attack. Too bad Carl is banned because he told a lot of GAFers to get it. He was right. Game is incredibly charming and I can't wait to try out Guacamelee now.
Might go on a silver/gold hunt in my backlog now. Found Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Let's do this!
Oh and since I cleared DS2 Hardcore Mode earlier I decided to mop up the Severed DLC with my newly unlocked Foam Hand. Wow. That was a fun 30 min. lol.

this game is such a GRIND! So many other games I could have at least beaten the story in this past week, yet I spent all my time grinding in Hybrid.

If this achievement list for Counter Strike is true you can expect some grinding too. It's only 12 for 200GS but I believe they have to be 400 now. I know the PC has alot of achievements so this maybe a half list. Also nothing about PS3 and if it has a plat.

36th platinum GET! Sly 3 is finally finished, and while there were some good parts, like episodes 3 and 5, overall it was an incredibly tedious experience.
EDIT: Started going for Vic vos in Peace Walker, I've only played a few rounds of versus ops, and I'm already at 10 000 camaraderie.

That's back to the future platinumed. No. 7 this month and what a pile of shit it was. Never got through 1 episode at night without falling asleep and waking up about 4 hours later. Lol. But my terrible faux OCD would'nt let me not carry on with it. Glad the walking dead is about 100x better. Dunno what to play next. So might go play some Xenoblade. Have abandoned it for almost 2 months.
The platinum took me 20 hours or so, which is actually pretty low for an open world game.

I disagree, the Death Mode levels are the best part of SS, yes they're hard, yes its trial&error, but its very addicting lol.
Only 12 achievements with double the gamerscore from the other list. Kinda disappointed especially with the PC version having so many.
I liked Beat School the most. It was mostly very easy and trivial but it was like a puzzle game. I'd be cool with DLC or a whole game based off of a more fleshed-out Beat School.

Hope so. I bought some MS points today for Counter Strike but will get the PS3 version if it has a Plat. I can't see me getting 100% in the game twice....Something I've done in the past on both systems.
Keyboard and mouse support on ps3 too I believe.

I just completed Sleeping Dogs on the 360. I also 1k'd Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma very recently 
I did the same. Really need to go back to it. I 1000'd way back when I had a 360. But bought the gold version ages ago.

Seriously, the best advice to give is to learn the enemy patterns and get good at shooting, there's no easy "trick" to it. Pliskin doesn't even have the worst version of that variety mission...
If your doing it on vita, play it on the ps3. Was a lot easier. Those missions were horrible though. Wait till mgs1 snake. Learn where they come from and tranq the First lot. They will fall asleep by the time they get to the curry. Then just go mental with the normal rifle on the ones behind. I always started top left kill about 6 or 7 move to the right and kill a couple as they come down the stairs. Actually is this the one where you get no pentaxamin and there's a load of them all following each other pretty closely? if so you pretty much just have to go mental with the normal rifle. You'll get it eventually anyhow.

Wasn't too bad actually, quite fun for all of the few hours i was playing it for. Was the easiest platinum ever though.
Glad i never paid full price for it! Only bought it sat evening and only started it yesterday. Anyway, Platinum 8 this month! A new record for me.

Jak II is a pretty painful game to get through... I've used to the glitch to get the precursor orbs out of the way but there are some missions in this game that're just awful. Halfway through at the moment, so unless I really reach a dead end, I should get it platinumed today or tomorrow.
Oh and for some idiotic reason PSNProfiles has listed me as a cheater because I played MGS3 Vita on my PS3 and then transfarred the save over to get most of the trophies at once. So dumb. They haven't even added the functionality to contest it.

MGS2 trophies will almost all unlock straight away, so you're fine there. Only possible issue is if you started that save before transfarring patch came out, in which case trophies will be disabled.
MGS3 has a few more issues, since it wipes almost all progress from your save when you save over it with a NG+. So if you do something in your first playthrough but over-write it with a second, it won't detect that you've done it.

They all do on MGS2 as long as you have a save file for snake tales, the VR misisons and the main game. Make sure your connected to PSN when you first create the files. Doesnt matter after.
MGS3 they all do as well just make sure you create a new save once you start NG+ if you have to.
Create a save after you knock out the ocelot squad and a save before the docks so you can get the early end and series over trophies without having to backtrack.
