Go to Amazon and get a $10 PSN code as well. Use this to upgrade the game, there should be an option on the store.
Flower doesn't have to be upgraded, you can just downloaded it for free on your PS4 (and Vita too). Same is happening to Journey but they haven't finished the PS4 port yet.
Use any old address from California or Idaho. Doesn't matter what your card is registered to.

Sure, but the fact that you can do it all digitally and not even prove that you have a PS3 isn't quite what they had in mind when they came up with the upgrade program.
But because you can, it will probably always be cheaper to get the PS3 version and upgrade.
True. Now that I think about it it's probably Sony themselves taking the hit for the upgrades right? It's their way of getting people to upgrade to PS4.

It's "PS3 | PS4" in the featured taskbar on the left hand side.
Then click "PS3 to PS4 Upgrades".
Man I wish there was a deal on the PS4 version.

It works and the only game that does not work is call of duty ghosts.
You cannot buy PS3 digital and do the $9.99 upgrade if you buy it off amazon.
Do not ask me why because i do not know and it may have to do with activision.
But the game will not appear as a purchased game. yet you can download and play on ps3???
But this is not going to be an ongoing thing, These games came out as next gen approached so they offered this.
They will not offer this for every title.

This is definitely a thing. I had 102 people and erased 3 people from my friends list and Uplay miraculously started working again.
Anyone know if you can use a save from the PS4 disc copy on a PS4 digital version?

Just one other question about setting the 'primary' PS4. My PS4 is being replaced (works intermittently at the minute). If I set it to primary now, will I need to deactivate it before I send it away? Or can I just set my replacement to primary and this will override the old one?

I have them all thanks to ridiculous Steam prices and AC2 was really dull. Brotherhood was fantastic, then Revelations and 3 fell flat again.
Talking to people who have the same opinion as me on the AC games, they're saying 4 is a return to form. Thought it was worth a punt at this price.
Looking at the support page linked below, you'll need to deactivate, but you can do that on the web as well as on the console.

EDIT: Well, it changes it's mind on the additonal notes by saying "You can deactivate a PS4 system only from that system. Deactivate the PS4 system before transferring or disposing of it." Deactivate the accounts before sending it away.
EDIT: ignore me... apparently you can do it online yourself.
You need to deactivate it before you ship it back or deactivate it on the website. You can only use the website deactivation once every 6 months so it's better to do it on the console if you're able to.

Nice, pretty much $30 for AC4 on my PS4. used the $10 voucher that came with my console.
The upgrade promotion on AC4, BF4, and COD Ghosts ends in Mid January, I believe.
I only see English, French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.Would be cool if someone could confirm/deny that.

See, I've got 138 friends, most from GAF. I don't want to have to delete 40 people just to manage my fleet. Ubisoft really needs to fix this shit.

You dont need to give US PSN your CC details, just skip that part.

Wait. You have to do that every time and not just an initial time? So you couldn't even sell your copy of the PS3 version once you have the PS4 digital version? Yikes, that sucks.
AC4 digital was 25 dollars at some point this weekend. I got the ps4 version for 35 dollars total.
Why is that confusing. Everyone would just buy the ps3 version and then sell it. That would be broken.

As much as I'm interested in setting up a US account for deals like this, I won't be doing it specifically for AC4.
Yet to like a game in the series, although I have only played 1 and 3.
