Any figures use them? I don;t recall many figures with rubber.

DX-02, ED-209, ToyFair 2011 Batman Begins were the worst. My major concern is that I'm still not sure what BvS Batman or '89 Batman are actually made of, so I'm always scared with how they'll hold up. And the new rubber undersuits HT is using for all their Star Wars troopers seems really cheap, and I don't think they're gonna hold up well at all.

Some of the Iron Man figures have rubber over the inner elbow joint, for example the Mark VII (and I think all variants). I guess it could be something similar to rubber and not actually rubber, but it does concern me.

Pre-ordered the Street Fighter SHF due next year. I'm hoping they're able to tweak Chun-Li by then as I'm not a huge fan of it currently. Still, looking forward to getting Ryu.

They also screwed up other things from what appears to be glue breaking down. Turned my han solo shirt orange. I originally thought it was the copper wire they used in the lining, but people seem to think it's glue. Happened to another figure of theirs, but I forget which one

Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming. I figured they'd go this route after seeing the trailer and noticing just how huge his wings are.

I love The Witcher but luckily for my wallet I don't like statues. I want The Witcher 1/6th scale figures so bad. Hopefully Threezero or some other company grabs the license because HT these days is all about blockbuster movies figures. So boring.

Received a couple of new figures. Up first, is the NECA Clan Leader. The latest entry in their Kenner Predator tribute line.

This guy convinced me to delve into the Kenner line. Now that he's finally been released, I think he turned out even better than I expected. He's on the AvP body, so he's got some size and great articulation. The paint job is just spectacular. The orange is so deep and vibrant. His white and gray dreads are a unique look that really go well with the paint choice. The tendrils are awesome. They're such a great addition and makes him stand out even more from the rest of his tribe. Just a great figure. I hope NECA makes his throne available!

Up next is a figure I always wanted. When I decided to get a couple of Hot Toys (Resident Evil Alice and Eric Draven), I was super disappointed they didn't do this character. Finally, Star Ace released Selene from the Underworld series.

Even though I was initially excited to get this figure, I hesitated before I took the plunge. She's really expensive. Easily the most I've ever spent on a figure. The initial review images weren't the best. Turns out, the sculpt just isn't very photo friendly thanks to some really recessed and high areas in her face. Shadows just absolutely make her look awful unless she's lit right. Plus, the paint work on the face is really subtle, and gets easily lost in the camera. In person, I think she looks wonderful. The likeness to Kate Beckinsale is spot on. I'm totally fine with not having rooted hair, as I didn't get into collecting figures to mess around with doll hair. Her outfit is perfect. The latex material is a bit constrictive, but I can get her into a bunch of "straight from the movies" poses. She's got a bunch of great accessories, but I do wish she had 9mm pistols instead. I understand she comes with the guns Kate carries on the Underworld: Awakening poster, but 9mms are just what I think of when I think of Selene and her Death Dealing ways. I also wish they'd gone with her vampire look with the blue eyes, but that's fine. This is what the character usually looks like in the movies. Overall, I'm excited to have added her on my 1:6 scale shelf. Now I just need to get Blade and I think I'm set.

Sideshow is generally in a lower price-range than Prime 1 and XM Studios. Though occasionally Sideshow will come up with some crazy elaborate piece and ask $1000 for it.

That GotG wave BAF is a really lazy recycling of Space Venom. Vulture is fantastic. I have a feeling people trying to complete him will be cockblocked by Darkhawk scalpers, though.
I have a complete Space Venom only because I very much wanted all of the figures besides Ashley Barton and <$10 for her and a complete Space Venom was an easy choice.

Mine creak and pop every so often. It's minor but I do notice it, usually at night when it's quieter in my apartment. It typically coincides with my AC/heater turning on, so I assume it's just due to the glass expanding/contracting slightly from the change in temperature in my apartment.

You're fine. Mine did that all the time at first. I still get the occasional creak, but they've been set up for a few years now and they're still standing.

I don't think there is a wave. There's no BAF part, and there aren't shitloads of accessories to make up for it like with Deadpool.

They just started shipping the first orders placed for the 1.5 and Birds last week, and they're going in order. Diggeh and I got our label created notification but no order movement and we ordered as soon as they allowed.

There is a decorum with orders, Diggeh. If it was a month long preorder, then charge me when it ships. Don't take my money for a month with no movement, then create the label, and then not ship it.

The Bandai kit is crazy good but it hasn't gotten the inevitable bomba to the $20-21 range yet.
