The problem with certain people in the music industry (and some of its fans it seems) is that they've pinpointed a time in history where musicians were paid the highest they've ever been paid in the history of music, and decided that this is the standard for what a musician (well, music label really) should get paid, forever and always, and anything lower than that is an insult to them and music as a whole. It's silly.
Streaming is a response to piracy. The alternative to streaming isn't everyone going back to paying $20 for albums. It's everyone going back to paying $0.
I agree there's still some tweaks to be made around streaming - I'm not against artists basically holding off their music from there for a certain period of time after launch for example (if they think they can get away with it). But blindly thrashing at Spotify as 'anti-musician' is stupid.
