Oh yes, '04 was amazing fun. A great experience. The atmosphere at everything - the parade, then the game and the celebrations afterwards - was fantastic.




....and then there was '07. Jet as pregame entertainment shat all over 04's offering of motherfucking Kath and Kim in a Batmobile. Too bad there wasn't a game on after it.


I would love to go to an ANZAC game too though.

I got to go to the 04 GF, my sister got to go to the 07 GF.

She was a tad annoyed at me =P

I tipped Geelong, but I was really hoping the Pies would win and subsequently think they were indestructible, so that they could get the collywobbles happening and collapse against the Weagles. Now that they got smashed, I can see 'em going all the way now though.

Tarrant injured, Cloke injured, Johnson injured, Goldsack injured, Daisy Thomas suspended, 96 point loss.

I have faith in my Eagles to win next week.
 
Even if Collingwood weren't giving it their all, a 96 margin has to be worrying. Better to have some momentum than none.

Few injuries here and there lost confidence, suspension, maxwell not playing well.

I'd love to go, but finding tickets to that game is going to be damn near impossible. Might just go Saints v Sydney instead.

Was watching it on TV and the atmosphere was superb. Also looks much better than the dreary AAMI Stadium.

Attendance was 29k/36k. Considering Port's standing and their opposition, that is a fantastic number.

Listening to the game on TV it sounded like there was a really great atmosphere there, was well impressed. The redevelopment can't come soon enough for South Australian football really.

Hoping West Coast can put up a decent showing against the pies on saturday. If we win then we've booked a spot in the grand final but I'm thinking we will go loss - win - loss and go out in the prelim to probably Geelong.

Let this be a warning to anybody considering it: never work for your own club. Ignore my advice and you will never be able to attend one of your own games as a spectator again. Having to work match days sucks.

Well sounds like you're happy to be moving on so that's all good! Goodluck with whatever you move onto next.

I can't beleive how crap AFL memberships are ;_; so expensive... but It's almost worth having one just to get finals tickets easier. I'm going to try my luck getting some essendon / carlton tickets tomorrow at midday when general public goes on sale. anyone else going to any finals games?
 
Carlton deserves to get beaten by Essendon after screwing us out of a home final ._.

They were so soft against the Saints.

I'm still confident though. I just don't see where the Saints will get their goals in a finals type match with Riewoldt playing through injury and Milne unable to beat Nick Smith :)

I want a West Coast v Sydney GF just to stick it up all the Victorian teams. Such a combination requires the Weagles to drop their first game then push the rest of the way through, though.

Also, Saints should not only be kicked out in the first round, but Riewoldt and Milne should kick 0 goals between them.

Best finals ever.
