After playing Revolution, does anyone else hate standard controls in games?

In the main Red Steel thread all I saw was a few comments expressing surprise, and suggesting that Rev might look better than they'd feared, or even hoped for. There are comments that you could throw a debate out on (Rainbow Six Vegas comparisons, HD/SD implications etc) but nothing outrageous.

Seriously, I know a Nintendo fan in real life that said this to me. He said the only good game out is Resident Evil 4, and that other than that videogames suck.
That is why I hate Nintendo-only fans. They think the best fighting game is Smash Bros, the best hockey game is Wayne Gretzky's Hockey for the N64, the best baseball game is Ken Griffey's baseball for the SNES, the best racer is F-Zero, the best puzzler is Dr. Mario, and so on and so forth. And so when Nintendo is sitting on their asses and doing nothing...they think games suck while ignoring all the great games that are coming out for all consoles (and PC).
It's absolutely disgusting and it makes me downright sick to my stomach.

Maybe he does own other systems, has a broad range of interests in genres, but feels that more Devil May Crys and Onimushas, that more WW2 and other fps games, and that all the fucking goddam MGS wannabes, along with terrible western and Japanese RPGs are not offering anything new. And you know what, a lot of genres are becoming stale for some of us, who've been gaming since the NES days. I have owned most of the major consoles (not including crap like 3D0), along with several hundred games in total, and you know, for me personally, I agree with the sentiment you find so sickening. (not that RE4 is the only good game out, but that games are starting to get boring)
