Well I've been having a better experience than open beta, might be because I'm liking the Mage class better... not sure. Either way still annoying/buggy stuff happening... like my group disbanding for no reason.

It's amazing how something so little as adding combos and directional attacks goes to make the combat a lot more fun. I'm loving this game; the single player campaign has been more epic than I thought it would be. I was also surprised to find that all of the npcs are fully voiced. Very impressed so far.

Well, I am not yet quite sure. In other MMOs there was much more dynamic in the battles, espicially in PVP. People were circling each other, rooting, running. I must admit, I am not that deep into PVP right now but what I've seen people just stand there and push the 1,2,3-Buttons.

)Anyone else having issues getting to the official forums? I have a registered account, logged in for a short time last night just to make sure, but still no official forums access. I tried hitting the "change forum information" button on the account page via Funcom but that doesn't seem to have helped either. If it's widespread that's one thing. If it's just me I guess I'll be sending an email.

Mine message is a little different as I never registered for the official forums in the first place but it sounds like the same problem. The fact that we have an active retail account has not yet translated to the forums. I imagine they have their hands full with the game and that's a low priority but it still sucks.

I must say Funcom sorted out 90% of the Technical Issues from the beta client. Then I used to crash every 5 minutes, only had one crash in 14 levels here.
Playing the Barbarian and loving it. I really like the combat animations in this game.

Awesome! I hit 20 last night, and got out of Tortage finally. Khemi is pretty awesome, and the corruptor pet is nice. I finally got the game tweaked to where it runs good enough and still maintains great graphics. Shadows really kill your framerate but I just can't turn 'em off, the game looks so good with them. I turned down grass and npc draw distance and that seems to help a lot. I have everything else cranked, 1680x1050, 16QxAA, 16xAF:

That's a mean looking necro, quite a departure from all of the hot girls running around. I cannot for the life of me settle on a class. I see that the necros and barbarians are popular here and those are two I haven't tried yet. I'm pretty tired of killing that fat slavemaster.

The thing to remember with Necros is that they die easily and often during certain times while leveling up. You'll reach these plateaus, so to speak, where things will off ya easier than usual, and then the next level you'll be tearing them up. From reading on the boards this continues for some time. I think they need some tweaking to make the progression more smooth.
Having said that, I love mine, and even if I died like 6 times during level 18, I didn't mind. I haven't tried any other classes except for Dark Templar during beta. I liked it well enough as well, kinda like the old EQ1 Shadowknight in a sense. I have to keep myself from reading too much about other classes because I have been known to get bad cases of Alt-itis in previous MMOs. I swore that with AoC I'd pick one and stick with it.
