Nintendo and Microsoft for me.

Nintendo for their software (and to a lesser extent hardware)

Microsoft for their forward thinking in the online space.
 
For me, I split the board as evenly as I can. I do, however, have preferences. It's just not company specific - my motto is "My favorite console is whichever has the most/best third party support." For this gen and last, that has been PSX and PS2 without a doubt. The most niche titles, the largest variety and generally the most memorable new franchises. Because third party support is where the games are at. If next-gen third party supports Microsoft the most, there shall my preference lie. If it supports Rev the most, there I am.

In terms of companies as developers themselves, I prefer Nintendo dev games way more than Sony or Microsoft ones. Not that the others don't have good games, but it's just not the quality Nintendo pushes out on a consistent basis.

So, this gen...in terms of pure preference... Sony camp + 1

But it changes a lot every gen.

The only next gen system I'll own will be PS3, the only handheld I own is PSP (although GBAs seem to come and go hehe)

I would say Sony
 
MS = leave console business alone!
Sony = learned to love em... PSP for.the.win
Nintendo = I'd buy the Gameboy Advance Nano SP if they released it :'( I'm a NIntendo whore, can't wait for Revolution

If I were a one console person, Sony would clearly be the winner.

But there is enough exclusive content in the MS camp to warrant a buy.

I have a X360 on order.

All the Xbox hate makes me sad. :/

I'm on a two console next gen future. Sony + MS.

If I have to pick one, I give the edge to Xbox 'cause of Live.
 
Can you rename the MS camp to xbox camp, I'm very dissapointed with the x360 so far, but the current xbox is the best console that I've owned

1 Nintendo (I'm going to buy a Revolution at launch 100% sure and I really think, I'll like it the most)
2 Microsoft (I'm going to buy a 360 this year, I think, I like the Controller, I like Rare)
3 Sony (I don't like the controller, I don't like Sony's games in most cases, I'm totally not going to pay more than 300€ for a console, didn't hava much fun with PS1 or PS2)

I want back Nintendo VS Sega ;(.
 
I'm awaiting Sega's next piece of hardware,screw the rest.

X360 and PS3 I do have faith in both though. But I'd be lieing my ass off if I said I didn't prefer the X360 more.

I'm just constantly looking for more games to play.

If I have a hardware bias, it's for Microsoft, currently. But I prefer *good* Nintendo games to anything MS publishes, so...I dunno.
 
I'm inclined to say Sony due to sheer number of titles, but truth be told, the more memorable experiences this gen were on my Gamecube. So for me, Nintendo first, then Sony.

Allways been a SEGA fan even though they have been awful in the recent years, closest to the SEGA HW game lineup has been the Xbox for me this gen. I am an xbot. Ohh yah I forgot I have a preference for western made games... I got burned by playing too many japanese made games in the previous decade.
 
I buy whatever console has my favorite franchises. This would make Sony my favorite however a few years back both my Clie and PS2 broke around the same time and it took me about 2 years for me to be able to buy another PS2 because I wanted to murder them.

I do like the DS and a few GC games so just put me down for Nintendo.
 
I'm with the xbox now. Online is delicious. It's not like I'm not willnig to change and it could go in any directino next gen. Xbox Live is just so damn great, I can't help but go with Xbox. That, and the graphics are better too more often than not.
 
Like most of you here I own all three current gen systems (heck, I own almost all main systems, still going for a Game Gear in the future, but that's a whole different topic), and my most favorite games (RPG's, SRPG's and quirky Japanese stuff like Mad Maestro and Gitaroo Man) come out mostly for the PS2. Yet, I still have this love for Nintendo, even though I was a huge Sonic fan and anti-Mario guy during the 16 bit days.

Just chalk me up with Nintendo, go ahead... Make my day.. :p

I try to enjoy games on all of the systems, but I find I enjoy Nintendo's efforts the most and I enjoy more games on the GameCube than any other system.
 
I dont have a hardware bias, I have a software bias. :)

Ive probably owned over double the amount of games on the PS2 platform than Xbox/Cube combined though, so I guess that makes me just another whore in Sony's worldwide pimp stable. The hand is strong.
 
I was a big Sega fan Genesis through Saturn (even though I played a lot of SNES and had a PS1), but I ended up being pretty lukewarm on DC after being hyped for it's launch. As such, any irrational dislike for Nintendo and Sony lessened dramatically once DC died.

I have no favorite console maker now, since I like PS2 and Xbox. I've ended up preferring Xbox since it's had a few more classic games for me, as well as the best HW (power, HDD, 480p). These preferences can and probably will change w/ the next gen systems (PS3 already has the HW edge).

I've left out GC, but that's because I haven't had any interest in it and haven't had interest in Nintendo consoles post SNES.

I don't care much about portable gaming, though I've ended up owning GB, GBP, GBA and GBASP through frivolous and spontaneous purchases. I only have a handful of games for GB and GBA and don't plan on getting more. I also don't plan on owning either DS or PSP, but can see myself being suckered into buying a DS if it's cheap enough.
