Thing is, I love my xbox for multiplatform titles, and I have bought multiplatform games almost exclusively for xbox. too bad they are fucking me on bc. Won't make the same mistake next gen, all my multiplatform games will be purchased for ps3. See what you did there MS? If the XBox360 version is the best, I will buy that version, same goes for PS3. I doubt there will be too many (or any) Revolution bests, considering the hardware or system options (that we know of).

Hardware biases: Atari 8-bit (6502, Antic, GTIA, Pokey: a brilliant chipset), Turbografx-16/PC-Engine, Super NES, and Dreamcast. All great designs. But admiring hardware doesn't always translate into a favorite system. I thought the Gamecube had the most elegant hardware this gen, but it's my least favorite system as far as games go. For games I've been most satisfied with Xbox, but I don't find the hardware impressive (i.e. it's not an impressive design given the truckloads of money MS had to lose to deliver it). Thus far I think the 360 is a very nicely designed system, but I'm more likely to buy a PS3 next-gen. So I don't think I have any real long-term hardware bias. My console allegiance has changed pretty much every generation (sometimes more than once a generation). Lump me under "Other" I guess .

Based on hardware I've been wooed almost entirely by Microsoft's controller alone. It looks so sexy to hold, and I like the overall visual output of the system (high specs don't matter if the effects don't come out to a nice aesthetic balance). However, I need to see more from Nintendo before I can know for sure. I think they're rocking with the DS and that gives promise for the Revolution.
