If #Aion is in Korean for you - restart the Launcher, right click on Aion and click Properties -> Language Options

Also make sure to sign up for the EU Legion.

Doesn t work for me :lol . Tried it with the English and German language options but both time all I get is Korean. Looks like I am stuck with the Korean client :lol .

EDIT: Tried about everything I could think of. Still Korean client,...

For the love of God, my launcher has not been able to check for 1.5.0.6 update. I'm left with a error message stating that Aion encountered a mistake in its last operation everytime I open the launcher (sob).

Those having problems with the Launcher, try uninstalling it and downloading it again.

That solved a problem I had earlier.

Played CB & OB in english without any problems.

Your 1.5.0.6 patch was Korean I bet.

Is there any way to do a rollback? Then you could try to download the patch again.

If you're having problems with your launcher, just move the Aion Internal folder to your desktop then load up the launcher. It should load up fine and patch, then just move the Aion folder back and it should start up. Worked for me.

There are soft caps in the servers to keep the amount of people balanced, whenever all the servers reach the cap then it will get lifted to the next soft cap.

My guess is that there's a current cap of 300 to 500 players per server.

All this time of waiting and the game is now more or less live, can't wait to play the game but not right now, have other things to do

Someone said the limit per server was 5000 characters.

Either way I don't believe that servers got filled up in just 3 hours.


Edit: I just looked up, there are 24 servers for US and EU, and with those 400k preorders then every server should have a limit of over 20k each, that's very different from what I thought with just 5k each :lol

If that's their limit then they might have some extra servers ready for after release, because there might be people joining in in the following weeks due to word of mouth and these 24 won't do, unless they can host more than 30k characters each.

Ok, so I'll say that the soft cap is about 1k-1.5k per server, and it will be risen after all servers are balanced.

As of 1:50 UK time, only the servers Balder, Telemachus, Castor, Perento and Gorgos, are available for character creation (at least for Asmodians).

Funny enough Balder is a German server while the other 4 are English servers. Higher demand from french and german players?

Anyone else have issues with the NCSoft Launcher not starting Aion up? Hitting play now does nothing at all.

The game is fully patched, and shows up just fine in the list, it just won't start up.

Sorry to tell you, but I played MMOGs for the larger part of my life. It's not pre 2000 or whatever anymore where games like AO fail horribly at launch. It's just not acceptable for me, in this day and age anymore.

I had the same problem earlier tonight with the pass, and I had changed after the CB was done, when they asked everyone to do so. Anyway, just try changing your password again, and you should be able to log in.

Europe. BTW just changed my game from german to english and E VOILA, the game is back in Korean again! :lol Can t change the language options again (doesn t change anything). So I am back on my Korean client which I can t change to any other language. NC Launcher still says I have the north american version, even though all my OS and Aion settings are set to english/german.

This game just wants to mock me now I think.
