Alien Hominid (GBA) screens

lol at people complaining about Melee looking like a N64 game

I was still in my 20s when this thread was created. I'm in my 40s now. 😐

Fuck, I was 28 back then... now I'm old but still feel like a 20 something lol

Edit: lol I was a junior GAF member when this thread was made

Well well... Back then I was 19 and in college... Now I'm a 30 years old working my ass off (not right now! I'm on vacation!), and paying taxes...

I remember the original console version and Katamari Damacy both came out around the same time and I'd loan out my copy of AH in exchange for my friends KD a couple of times. Time flies

I guess since we're sharing where we were, that first post is almost exactly a month before a fun little hurricane came through and changed lives around me forever.

Kinda took me out of the video game realm for a while. Glad to be back.

Oh man, I remember NOM UK absolutely raving about this game back in the day. Good times.

This post's a really nice little time capsule for what went on here.

In all fairness the Nintendo DS was released on the same day in North America. The GameBoy Advance wasn't at the height of mobile hardware in 2004. Neither was the Nintendo DS for that matter, but it was still a leap over the GBA.

Man, I used to be big into Newgrounds. Left years ago, but I made some good friends.

Alien Hominid was a fun little excursion. I'd love a PS4/XB1 remaster. Along with Castle Crashers (well, PS4 for that one). Behemoth needs to give Sony more love.

Man, back in 2005 I was one of those 12-year-olds online that everybody complained about. I think GameFAQ boards were my community of choice back then.

Also think that when those posts were made, people were eagerly awaiting sequels to Half-Life 2 and Kingdom Hearts II. Which we are still waiting for.

What a cool necro.
Sucks about the ban, but you've spurred about a unique conversation.
Stick man game was legendary and gave my young mind a great creative outlet. I played this on PS2 and damn, might still be one of my favourite games. I'd love for Behemoth to create another console title.

Off-topic: The little credits at the foot of that sprite sheet reminds me of being a kid. SemiJuggalo Link sprites ftw. Who was the other guy... Tonberry2k! I haven't thought of that alias in years

Do people really need a thread to marvel at how old they were 11 years ago?

Also, did dude get banned for bumping this thread?!

Oh, I was wondering what this iOS game was, I'm guessing it's identical to the Stick man game?

iirc The Behemoth is currently working on an Xbox One game called Pit People. Of course, it'll also see a PC release.

Guess this has turned into a "how old were you when this was created thread"...

15, I was 15

seems that way.
i was 10 :)

i bought this game on my 360 after playing castle crashers, can't believe i hadn't heard of it till then considering how many platforms it was released on

From the sprite database:

How was this version of the game? I still find myself impressed at how the backgrounds and sprites were seemingly redrawn as pixel art as opposed to being downscaled from prerendered assets. Seems perfect for the Micro.

Were these only just ripped, 10 years later?

Wow, they're amazing for a GBA game but still. I know people complain about bringing threads back from the dead, but isn't this more "efficient" on the server than creating a new thread for some sprites?

I was 15 btw.
