Ya know, Nintendo has always said it’s not aiming to have the best graphics in the home console business, but I never thought I’d see the day when a handheld rivaled the Wii’s graphic’s capabilities.

Personally I reckon the Wii version looks better.
 
I rate this a 7 on my troll-o-meter, and give a bonus point for stupid title. Awesome thread. It will end extremely well.

Hey, guys! I've looked at all the evidence and have concluded that because Tekken DR looks better than Wing Island the Wii is graphically inferior to the PSP and possibly the Atari 2600. I will be holding a lecture on my finding in my apartment wearing nothing but a black speedo. The price of admission is a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper and there will be free balloons. Now back to your regularly scheduled bad thread.

What's the point? It's the dev. that should be blamed, not the console itself

It doesn't rival its graphical capabilities. What happens is that multiplatform Wii/PSP games end up looking similar because they are based off of the same assets.

There was an interview or something somewhere with these guys.

They claimed they only recently got updated dev kits and that now the game is ported to the Wii they are working on enhancing the gfx.

We'll see, it is suppose to be out in May I think.
 
I wonder if it'll get a PAL release. Sega delayed the PAL version of Sega Classics Collection on PS2 by about a year just to REMOVE Alien Syndrome from it. Who knows why? An exciting mystery! Except without the exciting. And possibly the mystery. It's just 'an'.
 
Those slime/growth textures in the first wii screen are hideous. My Dreamcast laughs at them. My Playstation wants them back.

=/ It looks like the psp is the primary platform. If the wii is going to get psp ports, I'd at least like it to be some of the cooler games.
 
Actually, I would have zero problem if they released games looking like this and charged $20-30. I would actually really liked that. And it might even sell well at that price. Good luck pushing this for $50, though.

there are games with significantly better graphics on Wii though? So no Wii games deserver $50 price?
 
Wii version does look slightly better. Not that it matters to me really, I've never been into graphics that much.

If I ever play this game, it will be on PSP anyway, because I own a PSP and because I've come to prefer handhelds and rarely spend much time with consoles anymore.

These pissing contests between consoles (and now handhelds and consoles) always end the same - stupid. No matter who "wins" there's plenty of gamers (you know, those people who are actually PLAYING GAMES) out there who enjoying the graphically "inferior" version of whatever game. And in the end, if they're having fun - they win.
 
I reckon the Wii version will be worth buying as a fun (at least it looks fun!), four-player, budget-priced release ($20 - $30?). Otherwise, not so much.

by the way, i cant believe a wii game is looking about the same as a psp game..thats not right
