For those of you that don't know, our very own Garfield AeneaGames AeneaGames who frequents the gaming forums is, unfortunately, a very sick lady.
The little lady is suffering from incurable cancer and could really do with our help.

I asked EviLore EviLore lore for his permission to make this post and he agreed, a big thank you to him for this.

Please have a look at the Go fund me site below me, and read through her situation.

Please find it in your hearts to please donate something, even a very small bit helps.

I know at present it can be extremely difficult for a lot of people to help but for a few of you that are able, please support her if you can.

Big thanks to the community for this. :messenger_heart:

Luv you Alysa.(FatCAT)

Post edit: added a second link in case the first does not work.

Update from Alysa.

Bills still pouring in, was hoping to be able to get some games during Christmas sales on the PSN store but I otherwise won't have enough for my rental bed and meal service in a few months so anything extra I have left from my normal income I need to stuff in my healthcare fund. And even then I might not have enough for too many months...

So please, keep donating! Every little thing will help!

If you can't afford anything in this expensive month in an even worse year, don't worry, you can still help, share the fundraiser link and/or pray or send positive vibes so I can enjoy gaming longer than everyone is expecting me too!

--------------

I was just told that the GoFundMe site misbehaves when you have an adblocker active, so if you encounter issues with it please turn it off for that site.

Any support is appreciated.

Consider it done. All the best to Alysa

My heart goes out to her, what a brave woman.

I'll be sure to donate as much as I can when my paycheck comes through.

I wish you all the best with this fund-raiser and I hope the rest of your days here are filled with joy and happiness.

AeneaGames AeneaGames GAF has your back 💙

Fentanyl patch / morphine ER tabs
Low-loss air mattress (or something similar)
An NSAID for pain (maybe)
A steroid for pain
And a foley catheter

Have Fentanyl patches yeah, and oxycodon for break thru pain that I sadly need way too much of. Also an nsaid and pregabaline and many other meds sadly.
New bed is coming on Monday and should have an air mattress.
No catheter yet, thankfully, hate those things but am sure I'm going to need it in the near future. Sigh.

Will have to research steroids for pain...

Please get more opinions and consider clinical trials. I'm sorry if this advice is unwanted but I have good intentions. If I had immediately accepted what doctors told me without seeking other opinions I'd have been dead by now.

I'm getting my treatment at a hospital which is known for doing tons of research on this. People all over the country are being send there...

I am hoping they have a working immunotherapy for this type before I go. Yes, I've considered clinical trials, there are none currently that could help me.

What changed for you when you got a different opinion? You can pm me if you don't want to do it here...

I am sorry to say I've never interacted with you in all this time I've been on these forums.

I'll donate on Tuesday, once I get my paycheck.

Alysa, once a GAFer, always a GAFer.

Congratulations to sircaw sircaw for being such a good fish and AeneaGames AeneaGames for not eating him...
We've smashed the goal!

Aye, it's absolutely wonderful, people here have been super generous. Even people i banter with and argue with on a daily basis on the forums have put our petty differences aside and have helped her, it's a beautiful thing. :messenger_heart:

Also, Take that back, that I am a good fish, do i look like a paste to you, don't ever spread that nonsense about, you will damage my rep. I am mean and sullen, thank you very much.

AeneaGames AeneaGames when you get to read this, put him right.

And big congrats on getting to your goal, i will keep bumping this thread for another week, in case anyone else still wants to denote or just wants to leave messages of love and hugs.

This has become to lovey dove for me now, i am off to pick a fight.

Peace to all and thank you once again for supporting our Cat.

Yeah it's amazing that the goal has been reached! Now I can eat the fishy, yum! 😀

I still have no idea what costs will come my way in the future, also depends on how long I'm around as well. This means that even tho I reached my goal, please keep donating!

Have to say with all the bickering on GAF going on it's pretty amazing that when there's something like this that everyone puts it aside and donated or writes nice posts!

Steroids (like NSAIDs) help keep the inflammation/swelling around the tumors down so it doesn't press up against nerves etc.
They will also increase your appetite. The cancer cells are basically taking all the nutrients you eat and your normal cells get the leftovers.

The catheter would be to keep the urine flowing - incase a tumor blocks off the path out.

Also, cotton sheets for your bed/clothing - to absorb sweat. No need for you to be itching.

Hope her the best, and hope her speedy recovery and comfort. Stay strong, sister!

Glad she reached the goal even way before my donation, great spirit from Gaffers indeed.

Sadly a recovery is out of the question, this will kill me in the next few years, sigh.

Hoping for a break through, a new treatment of some kind.

And thank you and everyone else who donated for ehh, your donation.

Please share the link with others.

Now where did I leave the lemons, have a fish to fry...

Well, all of us gonna die, no guarantees of any of us to live much longer than what you think you will. A very dear friend of mine just passed away yesterday. He's in the 50's but healthy, and a famous rally racer.

I'm still in shock, as he was making jokes about my loud voice like a muffler in a whatsapp group just a day before.:lollipop_crying:

It might be cliche, but never lose hope. Staying positive helps a lot.

Also, because I believe in God, I believe that we all have our times. No one can take away from you what they never gave :)

Just keep going until your time comes, whenever that may be, just like the rest of us :)

All the best.

I have my suspicions that I can play the PS9 up there already!

When I think upon that aspect of life, I like to think we have already played games from the world's greatest video game developers. Hideo Kojima, Hidetaka Miyazaki, Hironobu Sakaguchi, David Jaffe, Cliff Blezsinski, Koji Igarashi, Yu Suzuki, Shigeru Miyamoto, Yuji Naka, Ken Levine, Warren Spector, Sid Mieier, Peter Molyneux, and many other talented individuals.

OH NO's AeneaGames AeneaGames I only just discovered about your illness, so extremely sorry and lost for words!

Times like these it really hits home how petty everything else is and how we put our differences aside to band together for what really matters

Thank you sircaw sircaw for bringing this to our attention, you're not a total waste of pond space afterall :lollipop_pensive:

Hang in there Alysa, I know that's easy for me to say but you're doing a great job by the looks of it! You never know what surprises tomorrow brings no matter how unlikely they are :messenger_heart:

Oh I'm not giving up that easily! Already pestered my gynaecologist/oncologist today in an email with things I've found and heard. He's probably going to regret giving me his email address soon 😁

Wakes up in the morning to check his email and he sees 50 new ones.
