Then do something different.Furret said:That's the most iconic sequence from the character's origin, of course it's going to be in it.

Tell a new story.
I mean seriously does anyone care at this point how faithful they are to the same 1940s or whatever telling of Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman? I bet people would rather be entertained and see something new instead of the film basically running down a list of keywords.
Just the thought of another Green Goblin story, the Grandma, and the Mary Jane drama makes me die inside

Raiden said:Yeah but to be fair, there is a huge difference between the Batman reboots. I really feel this just looks like more of the same, except a bit darker.
Then again, guess we'll have to wait to see the entire film before judging all.
killer_clank said:If the Batman reboot was 8 years you could say the spidey reboot is 5 years.
I'm not sure I'm gonna see it if the Mirror's Edge parts are very prominent. Cloverfield actually made me throw up in the cinema and this, while spectacular, looks even more nauseating.SalsaShark said:bottom-line is: everyone's gonna see this. No matter what people are saying here.
FantasticMrFoxdie said:Yeah, considering its just a teaser anyway. I guess I can see the idea of an origin in new light because of how much I hated the last spidey movie. I'm slightly hopeful this could be good.
Might want to look up definition of reboot.
Yeah I really don't want to go through another Uncle Ben death drama thing.Korey said:Just the thought of another Green Goblin story, the Grandma, and the Mary Jane drama makes me die inside

WJD said:Better than the DKR teaser, but still nothing to really get my juices flowing. Theatrical trailers for both should be much better, hopefully.
Busty said:NEITHER are trailers. They are teasers. The DKR teaser is perfect because it TEASES.
Though if the Amazing Spiderman teaser is indeed 2mins+ long it a little lengthy for a teaser. But a teaser none the less.
killer_clank said:You're measuring it from the start of the series though. Removed as they may be, I consider Batman through Batman and Robin to be part of the same series.
Khold said:I think he's saying the theatrical trailers, once they come out, should be better than these teasers.
not
These theatrical trailers should be better.
"Hopefully" indicates this, i think.

FantasticMrFoxdie said:Eh, There were 3 different Batmans in that time period. Not to mention the change of directors/direction up to the joke that was Batman and Robin.
EDIT: I guess they follow the same storyline though. lmao
flsh said:What's the point of this? They should have waiting at least another 10 years because they just made a trilogy.
After about a decade of superhero movies I think I'm ready to kill myself. Please no more. It just looks like shit by this point.
Except for Batman 3 - can't wait for info on that

You can't call that a teaser, it was a full blown trailer. TDKR on the other hand teased.WJD said:Better than the DKR teaser, but still nothing to really get my juices flowing. Theatrical trailers for both should be much better, hopefully.
Khold said:I'm getting burnt out too. It feels worse that it ever was before this decade but someone with more patience should do a number of superhero movies per year listing for comparisons sake to see if it's worse and by how much if so.

The industry is utterly fucked. Five superhero films, a pirate, and a robot wankfest.Furret said:List of American superhero films
Basically, except for Superman and Batman, there were none until Blade in 1998.
There are five each this year and next.

I agree, I don't know how to feel about this. I would've preferred a Spiderman 4 rather than just refreshing the story and reiterating in a different skin. It'll just coerce me to keep remembering the first Spiderman movie which was great.Mockingbird said:Reboot is too early. The first Spiderman just came out.
