Amazon (Finally!) shipping video games internationally

Yes, Bioshock works and GTA4 too. (France)

I thought this was working only for game you have to pre - order but Brunswick Pro Bowling Wii and Madden 08 360 doesn't work...

Well...

Whelp. Looks like I'm never buying another DS or PSP game in New Zealand again. :D

Edit: Or not...
Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses. For APO/FPO shipments, please check with the manufacturer regarding warranty and support issues.

Additionally, some software, tools, video games, jewelry, sporting goods, shoes, consumer electronics and kitchen items can be shipped to the following countries:

Australia, Austria, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates

I'm sure the system will iron out the kinks within the near future, if any unsuccessful orders are to be had (minus PSP/PS3, I suppose).

They do. Just not software.

If Amazon Japan began shipping games to the US, there would be little reason to use Play-Asia anymore. Amazon JP uses DHL Express for their international shipments and it's only 2000 Yen; the service handling time is faster too.

I find Amazon jp shipping expensive for what I get, so I try to avoid going through them if I can. But it would be nice to not pay exactly retail or over for import games.

Games ordering seems to work here (france), tried with the Darkness. It displayed $8 shipping + $12 customs.
Already ordered a book from Amazon US and was pretty disappointed by the shipping time.
I also tried Play-asia, bought Crackdown NTSC-US from them, but the shipping took an awful amount of time.
Then I bought Overlord from VG+, and now I don't think I will consider buying from any other place, as the shipping only took a few days. The current strength of the canadian dollar is the only disadvantage.

They won't allow me to buy Raw Danger (ps2 ntsc) for 12$, but they do allow me to buy Shining Force EXA (ps2 ntsc) at 50$. Maybe their system doesn't allow budget games?

Damn. Doesn't work for me either. I've been wanting to order Impossible Mission on the DS from .co.uk for quite some time. They still won't ship to Australia.

We now ship internationally! (disclaimer: that actually means 3 or 4 random countries)

A quick look at their international shipping policy shows which countries they ship to.

Restrictions

The following items can be shipped to almost all destinations outside the U.S.:

* books*
* DVDs
* music
* VHS videos

Additionally, some software, tools, video games, jewelry, sporting goods, shoes, consumer electronics and kitchen items can be shipped to the following countries:

Australia, Austria, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates

All products shipped to these countries via Priority International Shipping are subject to an import fees deposit. We use this ship method for all non-media products; customers can also choose this method for books, DVDs, music and VHS videos.

*Note: Books that require special handling because they are extremely heavy (for example, multi-volume sets) cannot be shipped outside the U.S. If this is the case, it will be noted on the product detail page.

The key word in "Additionally, some software, tools, video games, jewelry, sporting goods, shoes, consumer electronics and kitchen items can be shipped to the following countries:" is "some".

I'm in the Netherlands (and others are in the UK), and it still won't let me order Jeanne d'Arc (PSP) or Luminous Arch (DS).

I don't think anyone has figured out what works and what doesn't.

Not that I'm one to question a man's motives but why would you order from Amazon rather than, say, NCSX, Tronixweb or VideoGamesPlus.ca?

Tried a Mario Galaxy preorder for Australia, didn't work.

Of course, it would have been pointless anyway because there is no Freeloader ;(

I did a test order with Elite Beat Agents and Ninja Gaiden Sigma to Mexico, and it failed.

Alas, it's not much of a problem. EBGames ships to Mexico and I hardly ever order games.

Weird, I got up to entering my credit card number when I tried to make an order for a 360 game. Or does it actually stop you when you make the order, not enter the address?

Usually it's when you select your address.

And the shipping to México is like $30... plus if there's any customs involved =\ , so... is not really a good option... you've better luck trying Mercado Libre/De Remate, Camelot Games or if you really want the game directly from an USA store, CDUniverse...

Well I was able to select a copy of NCAA College Hoops 2k7 for 360 to get shipped to Australia. I couldn't get a PS3, Halo 3 or a copy of Resistance shipped. Weird.
