Seems deadwood suffers from the same shitty casing as the wire... All my disks have little scratches across them. What a bunch of idiots.

Is there any chance of getting better disks if I return it or am I pretty much screwed?

I haven't gotten my Deadwood set yet, but I contacting Amazon about a replacement disc for the Wire, and the options were a 20% refund for the one disc, a full replacement of the entire set, or a full return. Sending me just one replacement disc wasn't an option. I took the 20% because all the other discs were fine and I didn't want to risk getting a new set that might have even more messed up discs.

Yeah, i got mine yesterday, and like i suspected every disc had marks and scratches on them. Some even had clumps stuck to it, which i had to carefully scratch off. I went through the whole set with a cloth for disc cleaning and so now i think every disc is ok, but fuck i hate marks on my dvds.

It seems to be a recent trend. The only 2 sets i have that have this problem are 24 season 1 collectors edition and Deadwood. One of the reasons i didnt get the Wire set was it looked so shoddy.

Ya, don't get me wrong it's a really cool looking case but I looked at the first 6 discs and all have a bunch of little scratches. I guess I'll see if I can get 20% back since it seems like exchanging for a new set won't do much...
