Amazon Prime Shipping has gone to complete shit

Every time I've had an issue with Amazons shipping it's always been the couriers fault. Like they dropped it off at the wrong house.

Same here, but not with the delivery being botched- just them not coming on time. I often like to have smaller packages sent to my workplace. The problem is that the UPS guy who delivers there is lazy and rude and will often not show up on time. One time I went home with nothing delivered, only to be given the package the next day by a co-worker, who told me that he happened to notice a package thrown on the floor in the hallway outside. Apparently the UPS guy just let the elevator door open and tossed it out.

But Amazon has never given me a problem. If something doesn't arrive on time, they credit me for it. Nothing is perfect and shit happens.

And hey, sometimes things go great, too- I ordered a Japanese 3DS LL last Saturday and it ended up going out with same-day delivery, the following Monday. Got it that night and it only cost me four bucks.

I've had problems with the Canadian Prime. I've had packages take 3 or more days more often than I've had them take 2. Don't think I'll bother with it again.

My biggest issue if the fact they now mostly ship my packages via the USPS rather than UPS. The USPS is very unreliable for me in NY for big packages. They outright lie about delivering them or end up stealing them. No longer a fan of Prime Shipping as a result.

Never had a problem, personally. It might have something to do with the fact that I live in a capitol city, close to numerous warehouses and major UPS hubs.

I even ordered something on Tuesday for the first time using the "no rush" option; it shipped after about twenty hours and looks like it'll get to me 3-4 days earlier than estimated.

I've had 1 late package in like 4 years... GTAV, which UPS delivered to the wrong house across town accidentally. Amazon refunded me completely.

Op I'm with you. I've had more late items this year then the past four combined.

One item I ordered on a Monday, was supposed to arrive Wednesday...said guaranteed even.

It didn't even ship until Thursday and arrived the following Monday.

I actually just was talking to my wife about this.

Ordered a bunch of product on Friday. 1 item arrived on 'time', the rest just got here today.

Horseshit.

Everything I've ordered has arrived on time at about 11:30 to Noon every time. Like clockwork. I'm in the US btw. I love the service.

Mine has always been spotty, but over the last handful of months I noticed that more and more of my packages are being hit with signature requirements or shipping FedEx instead of UPS, meaning there's a 90% chance they'll just not come by. FedEx is really bad about making up shit as to why they can't leave it on my porch despite signing up for an account and specifying to leave them all at my door.

I've never gotten a promo credit for complaining about shipping issues but maybe I should email them every single time and really push them.

I can only speak from my own experience, but not a single order of mine through Prime has taken more than two days since the price hike. Sucks that you're having this issue, OP.

Same.

OP, you should probably be talking to Amazon about this, and not us. I know you have but I would try some more, ask them what's going on.

Been a Prime member since they started the program. Never had any issues aside from a few major weather-related incidents beyond any shipping company's control.

Always politely complain on the customer service chat thingy if anything arrives late. I once got $15 credit because an $11 order came one day late.

Same. Sounds like you're unlucky OP. At least they give you credits.

if you're not getting the promised two-day then it's time to bitch to CS. You paid for the service, they better fucking deliver.

Prime has been flawless for me ever since i subscribed for it. I always get my shipments in 2 days or earlier e.g. I ordered a microUSB cable on Tuesday. It shipped on Wednesday and was delivered on Thursday, without me paying anything extra.

I just wish more products had prime shipping on amazon canada.

The only time shipping is bad is when UPS Surepost is used.

Surepost is straight up bullshit. They describe it as: "This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service."
They don't deliver it themselves and you get it a day later. Now if you want your package delivered by UPS and on the day it gets to your city, you can pony up $3.50 to UPS... what a racket.

Yeah I've pretty much been having issues as of late too.

They have been sending all my stuff "Smartpost (Fedex) or Surepost (UPS)" which turns out isn't a very intelligent way to get me packages on time because the last 3 or 4 have been late.

Amazon cannot make every single package ship in exactly 2 days every single time, and only give me 5-10 dollar gift codes, when they should be paying me hourly for waiting. MY LIFE IS IN SHAMBLES!!!

I think they need to branch out to other shipping companies.

Maybe UPS can't handle as much mail; with everyone ordering from Prime.

LOL I've never gotten anything on Sunday. I didn't even think they would deliver on Sunday and honestly I don't expect them to but it always there the date they say it will be. If I order on Monday, this at my house by Wednesday etc.

In three years I've had one item late and many, many items show up in one day instead of two. So I love prime. If I had op's issues I'd be furious, however. Luckily where I live they pretty much always use ups, and my ups guy is awesome.

Everything I order with prime is now shipped via usps and has been that way for at least a year now. I haven't gotten an order on the guaranteed delivery date since then either.

Every time I've had an issue with Amazons shipping it's always been the couriers fault. Like they dropped it off at the wrong house.

For me it is always been the opposite, on amazon almost every time I have a late package, it is because amazon didn't ship the package on time. One time it was due to mechanical failure of a UPS plane causing a major delay.

I live in Kentucky so UPS always gets things to me as soon as imaginable. Amazon has done me right so far. I ordered two different Gundam kits and they bot came the next day free.

No complaints here, also. I've even started using the slower shipping that gives me credit for video rentals.
Same here. I did it with an order that was supposed to ship in multiple packages, chose one to be 2-Day, the others to be Slow and got $2 video credit and everything in 2 days in the same box.

Was upset about the hike at first, but with older HBO shows on Prime, not worrying about shipping and Amazon still having amazing customer service, don't really mind.

I've never had any issues with deliveries that were a day+ late.

Only issue I have is UPS fucking sucks. They never deliver to my house until 6 pm or later and it blows. I wish Amazon had some way to choose a preferred carrier because FedEx delivers around like noon or 1 pm and it's great. Sadly it seems I'm stuck with UPS.

I frequently get Sunday deliveries when I'm expecting the package to come on Monday. For free. I get a package from them 2-3 times a month too.

If the service sucks for you, well that sucks! Cancel it.

I'm in the same boat right now. I ordered an item with Prime this week, and it's using a UPS > USPS > Doorstep methods that never used to happen for me (it was always just UPS straight to my house without any problems). Apparently UPS delivered the item to the wrong Post Office, and the item has been delayed. I ordered the item on Saturday, July 26th and now after the fuckup by UPS/USPS, the second tracking number tells me that the expected delivery is Saturday, August 2nd.

With this UPS > USPS fuckery that is bound to introduce more problems than it is worth, it's just not worth it to keep paying for Prime after it expires this year for me.

Yeah, I'm actually getting sunday deliveries which I didnt think they did. Its gotten slightly better for me in NYC.

But I've noticed in general USPS has been doing majority of the deliveries, and not UPS

I don't really order a lot of stuff from Amazon, but all the orders I've placed through Prime, they all have gotten to me in 2 days, sometimes even 1 day. Judging by the number of people who have had no issues, it's probably the company delivering your stuff that's at fault here.
