Probably not the same. I don't thing the grip included with the system does any charging because the Joy-Cons can charge on the portable unit. It makes sense that a secondary grip would be capable of charging because it will hold secondary Joy-Cons.

The charging grip looks identical to the included one. There are other grips you can find with no LEDs on the front.

Nope. The one included is the comfort grip. The charging grip is sold separately.

That's very unfortunate. It seems quite evident now, that Nintendo is trying to nickel and dime its most loyal customers in chase of a profit. Very grim shift in Nintendo's culture.

You could have a shot when the Neon one becomes available.

is $300 that bad... I mean look at those controllers... This is a impressive piece of tech for $300...

I had my hopes up from the "leaks" of $250. But after seeing it it makes sense.

No. I doubt it.

I think this probably has a very small profit on it at best for them.

GAF in general only seems to understand tech costs when its got "FLOPS" next to it, and fails at any other appreciation.

Given what John said in the reveal thread, it seems that 300$ was a fight no less.

I decided to go gray. The red and blue outside of the tablet ks way too distracting to me. And it's too cotton candy for me.

Just buy two colored ones aftermarket.

Huh, didn't even know it was possible to sell a pre-order. Isn't it tied to your account and CC#?

You don't actually sell the retail preorder, you sell it on ebay as a preorder and then ship it to the buyer.

I sold my UCE on the 15th of Nov because I didn't end up keeping my launch PS4 Pro preorder. People sold them for over 600 back in October and September.

$300 is not bad.

Saying the console comes with 2 controllers is disingenuous.

$69.99 for a pro controller is bad.

$79.99 for "2" more controllers Joy-Con's because it's clearly evident that 2 of them is really just one controller, but lets call it 2 because hey NINTENDO says so... is real bad.

$29.99 for a device that is essentially the only way to reliably charge your additional controller(s) is terrible.

At the end of the day, that it costs $109.98 to buy an additional controller for a game like ARMS is egregious and absurd.

And out of all this, with the fact that the charging grip is not an included accessory. Nintendo is downright complicit in these shady practices.

I just searched for Nintendo Switch on ebay... Yikes

And Zelda Master Edition listings for $400, lol

I don't get the thinking behind buying or selling a pre-order on eBay. Wouldn't it be at it's peak value on launch week, or is right now the peak?

Peak is right after it sells out. FF UCE only dipped because they reopened and sole more preorders at one point. As long as you decide early enough you can easily get your money back as a buyer.

Managed to pre-order it. This'll be the first time I ever buy a console at launch.
I need to play Zelda and I don't have a Wii U.

I have preorders on Best Buy, Amazon, and Gamestop. Amazon should be the safest of the 3 in terms of getting it on/near release, right?

Glad I woke up randomly an hour ago and got my Amazon Pre-Order in.

May cancel before launch though if the Wii-U version of Botw turns out to be almost as good. Presentation was a clusterfuck to me... nothing really stood out besides Zelda.

I got a preorder in just in case I lose my marbles and have a very sudden change of heart near launch. Doubt it'll happen, but it doesn't hurt to keep a preorder.

I have my pre-order, but does anyone know if this is the Black or Neon edition? I noticed Best Buy had different SKUs but Amazon only listed one. I have to assume it's Black, yeah?

Now I know. I really fucked up on the UCE, had no idea selling pre-orders was a thing.

Amusing thing about ordering from Best Buy was seeing that my closest store was the only one in the area that I couldn't get the store pickup option, then to now watch every store in the area slowly get removed from that list.
