I don't like that they have colored straps to match the colored Joycons but they don't include with the Joycons, they include gray ones regardless of color so you have to buy them separately.

There's no general switch thread in the first few pages that I can see so I don't know where to post this since I think a thread on it would be locked but -

I'm strangely pumped to get to get a case to carry around for the Switch. I'd feel really weird taking my 3DS or Vita to work but the Switch looks enough like a tablet that I don't think I'll feel too awkward carrying it around and using it in public. Not that I ever hesitated to use my handhelds in public before but as a grown man, I was always somewhat conscious of how it might look. I said it elsewhere but I'm really happy the Switch looks more like a gadget than a toy.

I'm currently looking at these cases on Amazon



I also would LOVE this one if it were just the Z instead of the damn picture on the front. Simple is better.

The one with the read square looks great. I'm thinking of getting that one. Which one are you getting?

Woooow....that's ridiculous. Guess I lucked out a bit when my gamestop said they only had gray joy cons for pre-order, forcing me to settle for them.

Have Best Buy preorder for it but waiting til Neon is available on Amazon to get it from there, I've come to the conclusion Neon probably won't be available until the 20th (in NA) since the 21st (JP) is when preorders go live in Japan. At least that's just the only logical conclusion I can come up with for why the Neon hasn't been made available on Amazon yet.

They don't charge you anything until it's shipped.

Amazon charges you when they ship it. So no actual money up-front.

No, you will only be charged for the order when Amazon begins to process it for shipping. You might see a $1 authorization charge on your account though that'll linger for a couple of days.

Notifications from Amazon dont work, use a online program that detects changes in the html of the page. Focus on a div container like currently unavailable that will change when the page updates, that triggers an email immediately.

Ok so at this point I've been diligently checking to see if Amazon has had the neon version up and nothing! So I'm wondering to myself if anyone has actually been able to pre-order one since the pre-orders first went up...

ICYMI, in another thread Hero_of_the_Day clued me into nowinstock.net:

Not in stock now, but nowinstock history shows that walmart has been putting them up every hour or so since last night. So, if you're dying for one I'd keep checking walmart and/or nowinstock.

EDIT: They just went up again on walmart. Granted, it will probably be gone in a heartbeat.

EDIT 2: Yep, they were gone in an instant. But, I saw it instock for a quick second!

Nah, there's no way they'd do that. They are separate SKUs and tracked separately.

It is odd that the console SKUs are merged on one page, when it wasn't like that Thursday night/Friday morning. I'm starting to think they're only getting the grey ones.

Those and the Pro Controller are what I need.

They are available on Amazon but I'm not sure if it is sold out by now. Keep in mind that the neon joy cons are in reverse color from the SKU version. So joy con R is blue and joy con L is red.

On one hand, I prefer it this way. On the other, it's really annoying.
