Depends on how many people buy it. At the Wii midnight launch, my store got 100 Wii's in, but only 25 copies of Twilight Princess (and even fewer Wii Classic Controllers). Note that this was at a store that doesn't take preorders. I would definitely preorder Zelda from BestBuy if you want it at launch. Of course, if you can wait like a week if need-be you should be fine, the games will be restocked much more quickly than consoles or controllers.

Are you in the US? Because I distinctly remember TP and a few other games actually launched a couple weeks before the Wii did. I had TP and Marvel sitting on my shelf waiting for Wii launch day.
 
I don't get why yall need to have the Neon SKU bundle. You could always just buy the extra set of Joy Cons that have those colors? <_<;

Why would I spend more money lol

And no one needs to have it; just looks nicer than the grey one to me. I always end up having the default/plain version of the console. Would be nice to have something that stands out a little bit for once lol

I want it because I missed the original allotment and the neon one is the only chance right now to get one.

Plus, the extra Joy Cons aren't cheap man.
 
Well I myself ordered almost 4 systems over the course of a few minutes.

First was Walmart
Then Best Buy wrong color
Then Best Buy cc was declined due to authorizations
Then Best Buy with paypal credit and just paid up front lol. <_>

Good luck everyone. I'm sure Nintendo is ramping up production to have more than just preorders ready for launch.
 
Regretting cancelling my preorder now. >.>
Holding hope that they'll come back up soon since Neon was never made available.

Just got an order update from Amazon. The date is fixed now.
 
Yeah, Amazon is fixing various Switch related items as we speak. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now has the correct date.

Maybe we will see the Neon up soon.
 
That awkward moment when you realize that the Switch is basically sold out everywhere else, meaning all eyes are on Amazon's listing for the Neon version...

My theory is they've already sold all of their Neons...as grays. Half the people who already ordered will end up with Neon Switches.
 
People need to stop worrying about dates on Amazon the GOAT retailer. They got this.

And like mentioned above they just corrected the date on the BotW special edition. They do this stuff in waves.

Yeah, they've sent me order updates many times before where they fixed the delivery date. It's just never been a thing I've worried about (unless they use USPS, my local Post Office is terrible...)

I just noticed that they finally changed the picture of the Neon system. It was just the blue and red joycon controllers in the grip before, now it's the actual system. Maybe they're getting ready for something to happen?

Not really, Amazon had re-opened pre-orders in the afternoon for an hour or so, as I was able to claim one, and I recall reading here that Target had them open for a pretty long time.

Of course they could have taken too many pre-orders and will eventually cancel them, but let's hope not. Amazon at least usually has this kind of stuff locked down. I'm more worried about my Switch/Master Edition from Best Buy.

Yep I got one in the second afternoon batch and cancelled the shitty Gamestop bundle.
 
For people on the west coast, does Best Buy usually start selling consoles at 9pm or at midnight? I'm just asking because I have a preorder at Best Buy and Amazon and I will only keep one. If Best Buy were to sell it at 9pm, then I would just cancel my Amazon order.
 
Anyone have experience with Best Buy in-store pickup preorders versus Amazon day one release shipping for preorders? Any unreliability on either side?

Still no page up for the Pro Controller anywhere. I check constantly and absolutely no mention of it. Amazon in Europe has it up but weirdly not the USA.

Why would they make a bundle when most people are going to buy the game anyways? You don't need bundles to incentivize sale of a brand new console that has a ton of hype alongside a long awaited entry in one of your most popular franchises. If there was a bundle it would be 359.99, aka no discount.

I have done bestbuy in store pickup for several systems, both at midnight and during the day, lately I did for Wii u, ps4, new 3ds xl and it was perfect, painless and organized. bestbuy rocks

Not some bland one where it's just the game and the console. I meant stuff like a custom Zelda-themed Switch, or it coming with a Zelda-themed case for the Switch, maybe an artbook, etc. etc.

I mean, they'll obviously do stuff like that at some point, I suppose it's far too early to do it now, but it would've been a neat alternative to have instead of the frankly random Neon version.
 
Can I safely switch the address on my Amazon preorder to have it sent to someone else or will it cancel my order?

not scalping, I got one at GS and my friend might take my amazon preorder
