Thanks. Not really feeling the hybrid cover as it wont protect the joycons. I like the easy "clamshell" style cover but I think a regular case would be better for my usage as this thing probably wont ever leave the house, just be used throughout.
My 3ds and vita both use the animal crossing pouches that were nintendo rewards one year which have been my favorite cases.
I haven't seen it for sale anywhere yet. But all of HORI's planned accessories got leaked a few days before the big Switch conference. We had a thread about it somewhere.

I'm assuming it plugs into 1 of the 3 available USB ports on the dock.
My question is, is it USB 2.0 like both the Wii and Wii U USB Ethernet adapters or is it USB 3.1?
Switch releasing next week. Heck, it's practically out tomorrow.

I wonder if software support will be for the exact same basic off the shelf chipset that was supported on the Wii and Wii U.
There are two devices by this manufacturer but I don't know the exact configuration.

maybe i missed it but does it support wifi
So bring the dock if you know you're going to want to plug it in to another tv...
I'm having a hard time not flipping my table at your comment. My first reaction is that it just sounds incredibly entitled. You can play it in the dock on the TV or on the go on the mobile screen. You can totally play local multiplayer on the small screen (which people at the event said was great) but if you know you want to plug it into another TV, take the dock with you, like you would any other console you're going to connect to a TV.
Except that's the thing. Most people don't take consoles to their friends' homes. Heck, I would have to unwire my home theater system to do so. Nintendo is selling this partially around the "portable home console" use-case, but people aren't going to realistically huddle around a 6" screen, or at least would prefer a TV in those use-cases. That use-case is broken.
Which is fine. I can still invite friends over and play it like a normal console. But that's not what I feel I was led to believe I would be able to do.
Turning 8. She plays on the Wii U just about everyday. She regularly plays Minecraft, Minecraft Story Mode, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World.
My daughter is so fucking cool. She's gonna break hearts one day. She loves video games, Pokemon, Star Wars and football.
Awesome. I set up to be notified for both versions. She prefers the neon one though.
Hahaha. I feel a bit guilty because I got a Gamestop neon bundle pre-ordered and I'm looking to switch to an Amazon neon bundle when/if it pops up.
Any of y'all give up on getting the Neon yet? Because I'm getting there lol...

What do you mean? The original video literally showed people huddled around a 6 inch screen.
I've still got hope for some dumb reason. They've gotta go up at some point, right? Right...?
The official video showed a bunch of things that won't really occur frequently if at all with the Switch. Nintendo's idea that you'll go to places such as parties, bars, street corners, basketball courts, and what-have-you with the intention of sharing your console and Joy-Cons with friends & strangers is fairly delusional.
That's not to say some of things shown there will never happen as I'm sure the Switch might be seen at the occasional get-together or party at first due to the novelty, but it won't be this constant factor in people's lives. It definitely doesn't have the same legs as the Wii did with the casual market.

I was thinking that the hybrid cover would still be able to fit in a carrying case when placed on the Switch. It doesn't seem to add much heft, but it could be an issue for the more snug cases. Hori's Tough Case seems suitable as well as the Deluxe Traveling Case by RDS Industries, but Nintendo's official carrying case seems questionable.
I currently have a preorder for the three cases mentioned above, but I'm really hoping Waterfield has something for sale before the Switch's launch so I can just switch to that.
Ooo, I can't find the RDS Switch case. The NES Classic one is great - where did you find that?
Side note: It's embarrass how many times I open this and the Best Buy thread and ctrl + f "pro " several times a day.
My daughter just told my wife and I that she wants a Nintendo Switch for her birthday, March 6. I'm fucked. No one is accepting pre orders anymore.

Yep. Went ahead and ordered a set of neon joycons to trade out on my grey unit. I'll need four anyway.Any of y'all give up on getting the Neon yet? Because I'm getting there lol...
Does Newegg deliver on launch day?
I'm debating whether the tax savings are worth switching over from Amazon.
It's not on Amazon, but GameStop only so far from what I've seen.
There's a $39.99 version which lets you carry the dock, grip controller, cables, and the Switch. I preordered the $19.99 version since I'm only looking to carry the Switch by itself with the Joy-Cons attached.
Here's the link.
oh nice! I didn't realize they had one just for the switch too. know of any photos of it other than the super small one on gamestop's page?
If you check the other variations of the same case like the two Zelda ones, you can see how the case will look inside.
It's pretty nice in my opinion.

Oh nice! Thanks! Yeah that looks pretty good. Now do I go with the RDS one or stick with the Zelda special edition one? Lol.
Whoa! How did I miss this one? Where can I find it?
I personally think this one looks better than the SE case but some won't like all of the lettering on it.

Also just an FYI but the armor guards that come with these PDP kits don't actually cover the front of the joy con. I think the Gel non-armor ones do though. So the Armor ones are great if you want protection on the back of the joy cons while still being able to see the neon colors.
I read that Walmart may still be taking pre-orders in-store at the pick up desk. Might want to give them a try.I've called all the gamestops and best buys, but that's all. It's hard for me to go to places, because I'm always with my daughter. My wifes and In N Out Manager, so her schedule is crazy, and I have a normal office schedule, which makes me the always on duty parent. Not that I'm complaining. Our schedules also allow for me to game a lot at home, and not feel guilty, lol.
Hey screw you dude, I know what im talking about!
