I don't know but it gave me some serious "Silent Hill" level vibes of creep. I need to start recording more for the full play through once the official release is up... but honestly... I'm a bit terrified of what's going to come next.

I dunno, A Machine for Pigs might be creepy, but it's a long shot from the sheer terror I endured playing through Silent Hill 1 and 3, based on this video footage, of course. I have no doubts it will get my scarier, but probably not to the level of Silent Hill.
We shall see.

I'd suggest ditching fraps altogether. Dxtory or Bandicam. I'm sure many others would agree. But thanks for the video!

Looks extremely cheap and disconnected as fuck, like the first one. The ambient sounds are decent enough though, but damn is the voice work terrible. Of course, there is is always the element of horror titles that can't really be quantified while watching or playing in unfitting environments, but it seems close enough to the first one for me to think I wouldn't like this one either.

Probably just the capture. It's dark, but it looks much more clear while actually playing. Assuming it's like the first one.
I switched to Bandicam since Fraps is not working with half of the games lately.

Currently playing this, because i was very close to finish it and i lost the saves, im a bit over half of the game now. I just this one is not much more intensive graphically for my gt 330 mobile lol

Their games are already full of Lovecraftian horror, but at the same time allows them to be more free and original. By the way, their engine is called "HPL".

Silent Hill games had some cool tension but it never got to the nerve-shredding levels of the water section in Amnesia 1 mostly because of no combat and being in first person. Although 2D can scare me quite a bit now like Neverending Nightmares demo.

Forgot outlast also comes out on Wednesday. Both Amnesia and outlast are in top 10 on steam currently too
Would rather have this than to be shooting at 2cm of exposed heads even though they can see me in full view.

Loved the first one, and this looks even better. I just kinda wish there was combat; the ammo conservation is, to me, part of what makes REmake and ZombiU so tense.

Maybe play the game yourself instead of watching Let's Plays of them? If you don't want talking heads, just search for walkthroughs which are different from let's plays.
You are not forced to watch them. There are silent playthroughs.

This is a completely different beast. And Zombi U and REmake are completely different beasts. Personally, I was drowning in ammo in Zombi U though.

I don't know....it definitely looks more "cool" than scary. Has an X-Men villain vibe to it. The monster in Dark Descent was much scarier.

Well, yeah, they're different sub-genres. I guess I'm just expressing my preference for one over the other.
And to "drown in ammo" in ZombiU you need either smart resource management or to win the Player Zombie lottory.
