Don't screw with people's social networking apps, even if they aren't all that great to begin with.

I have noticed the hit in battery life...and here I was blaming Pure Messenger, which I installed the same day the FB app was updated.
I will uninstalled the sucker if I have to. Right now I'm just going to Log Out and see if that works.
Edit: I'm going to uninstall the update instead. Going back to shittier version with no battery hit.
SimleuqiR said:I have kept this App at two stars...even after this update. They need to equal or surpass the iPhone app in functionality.
Sadly, Facebook has become the fastest and easiest way for me to communicated with some of my siblings (that I dearly love). So it's an application I use very often.
jonnybryce said:Holy fuck. here I was thinking it was 2.2 being the reason my Droid is showing yellow battery at 1pm from a full charge at 8am and it's facebook? Nice to know, but I liked it :/ Back to the Touch website it is..
Do your part, go one star for maximum effect.
gcubed said:new launcher pro update... for LP+... resize ANY widget, yes... ANY!
edit... holy shit its awesome
SimleuqiR said::lol I might actually do that.
Froyo actually increased my battery life on the Nexus. I could probably go a full day with out charging a still have about 20% battery life. But I knew something was up today when my battery was at 50%, and it was not even noon yet
Even the Facebook one?
I'm currently using ADW. Might jump to Launcher down the road.

I've tried it with several and it seems to be able to do just that.Deadly Cyclone said:Only thing bad about resizing is that it wont make them bigger than they already are it seems....

Are you kidding? I can now make my Astrid widget take up an entire screen. Much better for staying on top of my to-do list.jonnybryce said:New launcher pro update, dev says he fixed the lag and fc caused by the introduction of the bookmark widget.
Anddddd we're back! The resizing of widgets is really cool and works well most of the time, but with up to 7 screens and docks+gestures for app shortcuts I'm amazed that people find themselves needing that much room. I guess it's helpful for some annoying widgets like Foursquare, which is an awkward and annoying size.
skybaby said:All I want from Launchepro now is the ability to use the app drawer like the iphone home screens (scroll right to change between pages of apps)

I believe you can do that and have been able to do that for quite awhile now. What you would do is in settings, set the default screen to 1, while setting the number of screens overall to however many you want(up to LauncherPro's limitations, of course). That way, the "true" home screen is the first and you have no choice but to scroll right to get to other screens.skybaby said:All I want from Launchepro now is the ability to use the app drawer like the iphone home screens (scroll right to change between pages of apps)

When I used adw I thought it was much faster paging through 3 or 4 pages of apps instead of scrolling a long list of them. I want the option!jonnybryce said:Yep the 3D dock is super slick. Stock 3D drawers have a bounce so that a full row is always shown on top I believe and the LP drawer doesn't so I guess that's a big help. I honestly don't mind the 2D top/bottom fading stock 2.2 drawer but LP is just miles better than stock and 3D is where it's at![]()
And yeah, I guess there are some widgets were making them bigger is good. Didn't think of it that way but imo a widget has to be really awesome to earn full screen - and none other than LP's calendar have hit that rank for me. I don't use Astrid though.
Can I ask why? I find it annoying to have to flick three or four times, I feel like 3D plus a long list is a best case scenario. You don't like the 3D drawer?

So I just went through the painful process of upgrading my Samsung Moment to Android 2.1. Any good recommendations for new apps for someone who just jumped from 1.5 to 2.1?

really wish I'd installed one of those apps that can do a remote wipe and stuff. I've changed my google account pass, my facebook pass etc, anything else I need to be doing? When it tries to sync again will the contacts disappear on the phone or will they still be there?
Quite frustrating as I don't think its going to be covered under the house insurance and I didn't take out any other cover on it. I'm not due for an upgrade until April either!
radioheadrule83 said:There wasn't that much by way of apps on it so I can't do that. Whats really more annoying than anything is how on Earth I'm going to replace the thing... I loved having an Android phone, but getting a new one while I'm still in contract would probably cost me hundreds![]()

that's wat I have on my DX. different alert sounds for txt, google talk, and email.alejob said:I liked on my blackberry how emails would vibrate, text messages would have an alert tone and phone calls would vibrate first and then ring. Wish I could do that on the droid. Atleast get a different alert for emails and text.
its real, when I press it all the marks for events on days disappear and then return for a split second, its clearly refreshing.skybaby said:Can anyone press the refresh button on the launcherpro calendar widget or is it just fake?
NEW: Resizable widgets!. Now you can resize any widget! Long-press on a widget until it lifts up the screen, then release it in the same spot. You should now see a resize box around it and a yellowish overlay. Use the resize handle to change the size (use the overlay as a guide) and release the handle to see how the widget will look resized. When you find a size that you like, press the Back button on your phone to save the changes and go back to your homescreens.

Jim said:Regarding the new Facebook App update... when I downloaded the update (9:35am EST here), and go to Manage Apps > Facebook > Version number I get is 140. Not 131. Anyone else see that? Are internal version numbers different? Pretty sure it was 121 and then 130 previously before this new fixed update.
Doesn't matter since the update is even more broken than the last. Hitting Friends instantly force closes every time on Droid Incredible. Uninstalled again, :lol.
SimleuqiR said:Not having this problem. Version # is correct. Hitting Friends does not cause FC.

This kind of crap happens to me all the time. It seems like the Market is one of the buggiest apps. Give it 5-10 minutes. If it still doesn't start, try cancelling and redownloading.Mikasangelos said:Ok i just bought Beautiful Widgets.........but the download bar isnt progressing. WTF? what am i waiting for?
It's not working for me unfortunately. Plus it isn't automatically updating either. When I press the refresh button on the bookmark widget it says loading, on the calendar not even that.jonnybryce said:its real, when I press it all the marks for events on days disappear and then return for a split second, its clearly refreshing.
