A relatively small update, version 0.6.7 brings two new things:
Fixed (probably?) the problem in Froyo where apps moved to the SD card dont show up in the drawer (and they show a default icon on the desktop) until LauncherPro is restarted. They should work fine now.
New feature: custom dock backgrounds. You can now use any image on your gallery as a dock background. Open Preferences > Appearance Settings > Dock Background, and choose Custom, your gallery should open and youll be able to select your background.
The images should be in portrait format. The width should be 480 pixels for high pixel density devices, and 320 for medium pixel density devices. The height should not be higher than 84 pixels for high pixel density and 56 pixels for medium pixel density.
If you create a custom background and would like to share it with all LauncherPro users, please post it in our forum here.
Thats it for now. Some MAJOR and very exciting new things should be coming to LauncherPro next week. Stay tuned!
sableholic said:What memory usage preset are you using? Do you have the motorola droid hack enabled? I have all dock notifications off and updated this morning, but still having issues so just trying to narrow it down. Its generally very good and speedy, just instances where ill press the home button and it'll be blank (aside from the dock buttons) for a bit (I assume while its building the cache?)

kaching said:Pet Peeve time...why the F does it seem like just about every ToDo/Task app have the most rudimentary widget support ever? Usually just 2x2 or 1x2 widgets that do nothing to properly wrap the items within the display area, no clear delineation of each item...I find it hard to believe these guys even tested these widgets. WHY??
I really like retro clock / retro date (you can use them together or separately). Digiclock is good too.forgrim said:I just switched to Launcher Pro and am loving it....but what are good replacement widgets for the clock/weather (free)? did someone ask this and i just miss it?

Edit: NM just found beautiful widgets.

Change your default homescreen in the preferencesalternade said:Just decided to try LauncherPro on a whim today and HOLY SHIT! Hire this guy now Google!:lol It like its breathed new life into the phone. The only problem ive seen so far is that Polar Clock is off to the side when im on the home screen.
Try the DoubleTwist Player. The PC app is pretty crappy on OS X, but the player is rock solid.Mercury Fred said:Are there any easy ways to play mp4s? I haven't even started to migrate my music collection over to my N1 yet, but I was hoping to head off any potential problems...
It's called Gallery on the Evo and I imagine it's the same on other HTC phones.belvedere said:Total n00b question, but where god's name is the default video player? I recorded some video and have no idea how to watch it. (HTC/Sense)

And now I have a question: I've been looking around all the menus and... please, don't tell me I have to download a separate app for alarms :lol

Extend your living room TV experience to your Android phone with SlingPlayer Mobile software. With a Slingbox* at home and SlingPlayer Mobile on your compatible phone, enjoy live or recorded TV over a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connection. If you like TV, it's hard not to smile when you take control of your TV and DVR right from your Android phone's stunning touchscreen interface. Flip through your local channels with the virtual remote control. Pause, fast-forward, rewind, and even schedule DVR recordings. Watch video on demand and even pay-per-view programs. Never miss another show or game -- whether you're in the back yard, out to lunch, or on the other side of the world. It's your TV. Don't let it be trapped in your living room. Set it free -- with your Android phone!
I tried a couple of things, and deleting then forcing the music app or SDRescan app to do it's work definitely does change something, but it still isn't ultimately restoring my entire library. Thanks for the suggestions, though. I'll work from there.negreenfield said:BTW, I think you lose playlists doing this but it sounds like you already have that issue so it may not matter.
For me personally I now use .m3u playlists created in Media Monkey because I got tired of dealing with playlists back when i was flashing ROMs too often.
Edit: Oh, and Titanium Backup I think backs up playlists now but it doesn't always work I've found.
Edit2: I had also tried "SDRescan" from the Market, and while it works for other things when I add new music so I don't have to reboot, it did not fix the issue I had.
sableholic said:I had the droid hack enabled, but not the keep in memory. This seems to be what the problem was. I guess I just assumed the prevent force close option in the memory usage settings was all I would need. Thanks man

YES!!!
I found DoubleTwist slow and unreliable. I'm using TuneSync and its great. Wireless iTunes syncing FTW!Killthee said:Try the DoubleTwist Player. The PC app is pretty crappy on OS X, but the player is rock solid.

Open Spot works by letting people who are leaving parking spots share their spots with people who are searching for parking.
Start helping others find parking, and together we'll all save time, save gas, and reduce pollution. Like to keep score? The more open spots you mark, the more parking 'karma points' you'll get.
Yeah that's oldmckmas8808 said:FINALLY!

The editor is apparently web-based though and I can't find anything which indicates whether you're going to be able to publish these apps to the Marketplace.
Meebo or eBuddy seem to do the trick.beje said:Which one do you think is the best/most complete IM app for MSN? I'm currently using Nimbuzz just because it's the same I used in Symbian, where it was very efficient but I think it's a resource hog in Android...

Anyway, it is a very good start, the controls could use some work and the pop-in is a little annoying, but still great!
Nice job
Zombie James said:I'm close to getting a semi-decent plan on an HTC Legend but the data will most likely be on the low side (sub-500MB). Are there any good apps that'll cut down on 3G data usage? Like, can the browser be set to not display any images? Can I uninstall Flash Lite?
beje said:Can the LauncherPro app be responsible for a poor battery performance? Just asking...
Edit: I was told abusing the task killers can be a battery killer because in the long run apps take more power to start again than staying in the background, but I want to find more stuff that may drain power faster.
Edit 2: I'm already controlling the 3G usage with APNdroid, completely disabling it when not needed.
Mikasangelos said:my battery has only gotten better since i updated to LP. All I can say is i dont use task killer and my battery is damn near great.
How many widgets do you use?

I kind of like Androidcentral myself...
