Ripenen said:I love the look and size of that clock. I've been looking for a replacement since I can't use the sense widgets with LauncherPro. Have you had any problems with Beautiful Widgets? The comments in the marketplace complain about the time and weather never updating, and there are also complaints about it draining the battery.
That's what I use, but its been hit and miss on updatingJamesfrom818 said:You should try looking for the Fancy Widget .apk online. Someone pretty much copied the Sense clock and put it on the Marketplace so non Sense users could use it. It was up for a couple weeks before a C&D letter went out.

Root your phone and then install ShootMe.MarkMclovin said:Can someone explain to me how to take a snapshot of your screen?
I've downloaded and installed the SDK, along with Java, but when I hook up the phone via usb (I have debugging on too) and load up the app, the device isn't showing.

Edit: And is the Sense-looking weather on the MP, or did you do what was mentioned above to find it?

Power Control widget has the ability and so do most toggle widgets I presume. SwitchPro does, at least. As does the one James uses, I would venture to guess, since it seems equally if not more well-featured (in some ways).Deadly Cyclone said:One question, I had the Incredible and it came with a 3G toggle so I could turn 3G off when on Wifi, the X doesn't have this and most widgets for it don't, any reason? Any way to turn on/off 3G, or do I even need to?

I'm on a Nexus One but my understanding was that 245 is too low for certain items to run thus causing a negative affect, so for N1 users at least setting to 576 MHz was a good medium. This is what I run and I get < 1.5% per hour on standby. I haven't tried 245 in a while though, maybe SetCPU has changed something that this is preferable now?Mikasangelos said:This method is for EVO users, but it may help you.

Well, that did answer my question and tell me that it is something else keeping my Uptime:Awaketime at 1:1. I just don't know what the hell it is.Mikasangelos said:This method is for EVO users, but it may help you.

Yep. There are none. Biggest offender is Android System at 40 minutes, and the phone's been up for ~7 hours. Nothing else even comes close. No other app or process seems to be running that I never ran before without problems. I did flash netarchy's godmode kernel (Evo) yesterday though, I don't even know if a kernel would do that to the phone though. Then again, I don't really know anything :lolEpix said:Checking your "Partial Wake Usage" should tell you which processes are keeping the OS awake.

A few times. Just did it again. ~30 minutes up, matching awake.Mikasangelos said:you rebooted correct?
That is what I want to hear. Thanks.Mikasangelos said:Yes my EVO. Many EVO users here have done this root method. Its really really easy.
i like mixzing. they added a equalizer (still a beta) in one of the recent update.Jazzy Network said:Any decisions on which is the best music player? The stock one kind of sucks. The shuffle option is a true shuffle which I don't like. Nothing worse than hearing the same fucking song 4 times between 10 songs.
Cubed is alright but a little too flashy. DoubleTwist is very efficient and easy to use but for some reason refuses to recognize some of my media files. People like MixZing (as stated above) as well, but I haven't used it so I have no opinion.Jazzy Network said:Any decisions on which is the best music player? The stock one kind of sucks. That's a supercool part of the ui. Shame.

Now that there is WidgetLocker Lockscreen and you can add any widgets to the lockscreen, I say it's close between Museek and MixZing for me. I like both because of the auto playlist feature playing similar type music. Museek is the only one with gapless playback support (although it's just setting an amount of time to intermix songs, I use 2.5 seconds). Museek's widget kind of sucks and the UI is pretty non-intuitive but has a lot of potential IMO.Jazzy Network said:Any decisions on which is the best music player? The stock one kind of sucks.
