I'm surprised he gave it awhen he was bashing the game most of the times.8/10
They are in the game without paying.
Yeah, I like pulling off Sub Zeros brutality because it's easy(Freeze Ball+Enchanced Freeze ball.) Crazy that Jax can just instakill someone with his slam move though.
You can't, all Brutalities need to be the killing blow to work. The video he showed was from some easy brutality mode so either custom games or maybe the fatality practice.

Easy fatalities have been in since atleast the PS1 versions. You have to activate a cheat code, but it's fun to use when you're just shooting the shit with someone.
Yeah, in online it's annoying though.
I'm not going to pretend I'm a pro MK player, but aside from a few fighters(Kenshis whirling blade Fatality and Subzeros close fatality), but I'd like the option to perform an easy fatality without paying.
It's impossible for Angry Joe, apparently. You don't like games with DLC and microtransactions. I get it. Moveon.org

Fighting Games are weird like that. If a fighting game is a solid and fun to play competitively, it's hard to bring down the score for things outside of it's mechanics and gameplay.
My bad I stand corrected, I've been ignorant of them.
I'd love to see how many are actually being bought, to me its like buying tokens to do a street fighter fireball easier, its like 4 button simple combinations and you can just press pause to check them.
That would be far worse though. Fatalities have absolutely no impact on the match whatsoever.
This is such an idiotic thing to say.
They didn't adjusted anything. In the previous games you had to play story mode at least twice, then every other mode a few times to earn enough currency to unlock everything in the krypt. If you only wanted costumes is way less.He mentions how there are numerous ads throughout the game to buy Goro. Ads take away from my experience and for many other people. They also adjusted unlock mechanics to push for extra purchases. Maybe you don't care but I do. These are deal breakers for me and I want these issues brought up in every single review.
He does realise that the only reason the game is so short is bcause of the lack of stages and the fact that there can only be some many reasons for switching between the limited number of stages.
If there were 2-3 more stages they game would have a few more hours in it.
Nah I don't think so. I think the story was outlined and then the stages built around that. If I was to guess at a reason for the story being shorter I would say it is because more effort was put in to making the story good and having it flow properly. Adding on more fights or chapters would just bog it down without adding in any needed plot elements. What does adding a chapter focusing on Reptile grant you? I was initially disappointed that Mileena's presence in story mode wasn't more substantial but that's how it has to be sometimes. Artificially extending her role beyond the narrative need for it isn't a good idea.
Well, it`s hard to make a new thread about Angry Joe without attracting a few haters.
4 hours for a fighting game story mode seems more than enough.
The game is $60 and comes with 24 characters by default. Ignoring everything else included in the base game, if you divide $60 by 24, that's only $2.5 per character. But Goro is (and all subsequent Kombat pass characters are) $5.
What kind of sense does that make?
Yep, should only have 12 characters included in the base game,
This is some genius logic.Angry Joe isn't against DLC. He just doesn't like bad DLC practices. Practices like locking a complete and ready to play on day one character out of the game as a preorder incentive, and then charging $5 for people who didn't preorder.

The best ones are the passive aggressive questions like 'why's this guy so popular, can someone explain?' that comes up in every single thread lol.
Don't like the guy, don't come into the thread and derail the discussion.
Angry Joe is trying to Mortal Kombat the microtransactions in his review.
https://youtu.be/X_2Qy-_Sfqc
this is quite annoying so far.
See this kind of comment in every single Angry Joe thread. You can try complaining to the mods but I doubt it would do anything since they have allowed these threads for a long time now. It seems like some people don't like him getting all that attention, like they're a bit jealous. Ignore the thread then! It's because no one reviewer deserves their own thread. Put the link to his video in the reviews thread.
You'd think it was one of his 'army' continuously posting these to get him hits.

What a moronic post. His job is reviewing games, micro transactions are part of games, hence he talks about them. It's impossible for Angry Joe, apparently. You don't like games with DLC and microtransactions. I get it. Moveon.org

Don't get me wrong, I'm completely with him on this review, and a lot of his other reviews. He was just too high strung in them. He seems much more mellowed out though.
This is the thing I don't really understand as a point of criticism. Why do you want a long, bloated story campaign in a fighting game? If you want to fight the ai in matches, you can just go do that outside of the story mode. MK9 was a grind in comparison, and worse off for it
It's called charging a premium, it's what businesses do to make money. Stop acting like this industry needs to abide by some morale code that no other goes by.
#Entitled.
I main and only play kenshi because his fatality is back forward back back
....or is it forward back forward forward....I AIN'T GOT TIME TO MEMORIZE FATALITIES OK, BUT I WANNA LOOK COOL IN MULTIPLAYER
Hush, you are using logic. Expecting a game to be worth the high price they charge is entitled!Does that make the practice any less shitty just because other businesses do it too?
I don't think anyone expects them to go by a moral code, but there isn't anything wrong with pointing out something that dissatisfies you as a customer. That's how things get changed.
