Maybe there should be mandatory gif standards, and you fall below the standard, your GAFBlue Account gets downgraded to GAFGrey.
Of course, GAFGold members won't have to worry...

He says pretty plainly that animated avatars are not allowed. This doesn't appear to be limited to the GIF format. I thought we'd had this discussion before. I have an APNG version of my avatar ready to go that I can't use cause of this rule.

Yep, the loophole was discovered soon after animated avatars were banned.

People that used the loophole got a special avatars like:

Which they can't change.

Which to be fair is better than not being able to have any avatar.


A while ago a mod/admin made a topic where people with "I don't know how to make an avatar correctly, now I can't change it" could ask to get avatar privileges back since most had gone without them for months or years.
