It doesn't matter. Even if that's true, the people who went to such extreme lengths to silence her are what accelerated her to the position she's in today.
This can't really be argued.
If that huge ass campaign meant to smear her and others like her didn't exist, then most people probably wouldn't even know who the fuck she is to this day. But after that Gamergate dumbfuckery, she was not only given a platform but an EXAMPLE off which to build a rallying cry.

Hate doesn't require a logical reason to exist, it never does.

Anita I think is a bad person. Greta is someone I truly feel sorry for. I HATED the way the media and her parents propped up a 16 year old kid. Kids on either side of the aisle should be left alone.

Yeah because we don't see scenes with far more heavy gore in films and serial tv and this is not a game with a "don't buy if you are under 18 years" advise...
Just review nintendo games if you don't like violence and adult themes in videogames (talking about that journalist)

I used to think Anita only survives off triggered people and that ignoring her is the way to go. I don’t think that’s the case tho. Not at all. It is the IDEA of triggered people that makes her money, whether or not they exist in any real numbers. She is hired by people to consult, she is raising money in the industry and influencing games. If people ignore this she isn’t going away.
Also it’s a bit of redirecting the blame and validating her bullshit. She like other SJWs profits from an outdated stereotype of gamers which yes can be found on message boards but is in reality not that loud. Much like the Ghostbusters 2016 tactic, they seek out toxic takes and elevate them in order to pretend they are such a big threat. RLM analyzed the comments on the first GB trailer and found that out of everyone who watched it only .02% left comments about women. We aren’t even talking a small minority at that point, it’s almost a statistical error.
Does anyone recall a large scale campaign against the new Lara Croft for not being sexy? I complained in a few threads but I bought all three games and enjoyed them. I didn’t see any boycotts. At most creators get bad Tweets which is something that happens in every industry and from the SJW side as well.
Yet articles about toxic man babies are what sells. ignoring her is not doing to do anything since the market she functions in is worth tens of millions at this point. Best to call out her hypocrisy, like taking money from someone she knows is a rapist during the formative years of the #MeToo movement

People calling in bomb threats is crazy and bad but honestly I see that as evidence of her celebrity more than any thing. Which initially didn’t seem to be the point of her work iirc. It would not have been hard to hire other people to read her writings in those videos and for her to maintain a bit more anonymity. She chose to center herself and the SJW media made her the part of all their reporting far more than the content of her videos.
Her videos are supposedly why she started at all, and they had problems, but imo were well done Feminism 101 takes that brought up interesting points. Yet the reporting and framing of it was not on the content of the videos, it was, as always, about toxic gamers. “You should like this thing because bad people dont.” It’s the new marketing trick and it’s all the rage but unfortunately it promotes division and extremist views more than it helps.
Imo to some extent it is the result of internalised misogyny on her part. You see a lot of Classic Toxic Male behavior from the feminist class, now that it has been taken over by males (ever since it went mainstream via Corporate Intersectionality in ‘15/‘16). Ironically they love berating and alpha posturing and shaming people for being virgins and women less nerds, the very kind of alpha male frat behavioryou could easily imagine someone like Trump doing in college. Mainstream feminism is in many ways itself excersized through toxic Male behavior.

The Last Of Us 2 is also written by the person who wrote THE LAST OF US 1 ie the damn game that was written and started development before this entire thing with Anita....
The reality is, he is allowed to admire who he feels like it, he is allowed to write a game based on what he wants etc.
Thats the same damn argument I had btw with the whole SJW crowd. So even if someone finds out that someone who made Call Of Duty is friends with or admires some far right extremist or something, they very much can still make a damn game without everyone arguing that it must be some ultra, secret agenda.
smh, folks went from showing the diversity in gaming to show Anita that the medium was open, willing and already supporting creators to make what they want

My stance then with SJW when that whole fucking youtube series even released was "let developers make what they want, make what YOU WANT if thats an issue with you", what do you think my response is going to be to you? You think its suddenly going to be any different? So Let developers make what they want, but you can't admire or like someone I don't like? You can make what you want, but it better not have anything you support, agree with, pray to, vote to etc? See how weird that even sounds? So my view on that is pretty ironclad. Let developers make what they want, like who they like, pray who they pray to and vote for what they want etc. I see no reason to attack SJW for arguing about wanting developers to change their games, attacking them for simply freely expressing themselves, making every fucking male in a game out to be some agenda or conspiracy theory, ONLY TO THEN DO THE EXACT SAME THING and expect people like me to have a different response. It was silly then, its silly now.
