How can anyone like having the name of one sequel subtitle on their console? The art is cool, even the Batman name is fine, but to put the single, soon-to-be dated game entry name is just awful. It's like having Battlefield 4 on yor system. Inelegance defined.

The Star Wars limited edition 360 is a good example of a LE fitting a theme and being different enough from the standard system to leave a impression.

I'm not sure if best buy straight up charges you the full amount right at purchase, but I'm pretty sure they at least place a hold on your card for the amount. So if you're using a debit card, could be problematic. (though maybe i'm completely wrong)

Technically it's a "temporary hold"... So if you have a credit limit of $1000, $500ish of that will be unusable until this releases... but you don't have to pay that $500 until it releases because they haven't charged you yet.

So the completely understated, clean and tasteful design is ruined just by ''Arkham Knight" being underneath "Batman"? C'mon son, I hate 99% of Console LE's but this is perfectly executed.

I'm not that keen on either and there's no right or wrong as people have different opinions but that Star Wars console has always been absolutely hideous to me. It's like living back at your parents and you go away for the weekend but return to find your 9 year old brother has customised your 360.

Oh, I totally agree; the SW 360 has always been tacky and loud looking to me too. I posted it because it left a clear impression on me as being different from the normal system and because Arkham Knight's PS4 LE really doesn't.

I don't like the early trend here of PS4 LE's basically just changing the color of plastic and replacing the hard drive cover like This or This. Some of the LEs are looking good, and taking more advantage of the full console surface though; Dragon Quest Heroes' console is a good example of using the space available and differentiating the LE from a standard system.

The idea of having the exact name of a game on my console seems like a really stupid idea. It makes the console look dated so much faster, in just a couple of years Arkham Knight will be a memory (and we don't know yet if that'll be a good memory or a bad one).
