Any hype for Wolfenstein: Youngblood?

The second one was very disappointing, lots of the missions were anti climatic. And I feel sorry for the nvidia engineers, having to understand different engines to inject the rtx by themselves.

Did you forget their marketing? That perfect timing and "slogan" to coincide with the last presidential election

MAKE AMERICA NAZI FREE AGAIN

Give me a fuckin break :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Wokenstein 🤢

That's why the new game is 30 fucking dollars lol

I took it at face value given the game was set in America where Nazi's controlled the government. I think you may be reading too much into it.

It's literally killing Nazis or KKK throughout the game. Where in their advertising are you taking umbrage?

No. Must there be an SJW under every rock? In every nook and cranny? Or is it a simple, direct message given the game's setting and story? The game isn't even all that good anyway.

Yeah I know it's a big drop in overall quality from New Order. The lack of Mick Gordon's music alone makes it weak as hell.

The politics just make it even worse.

One group sees racism and misogynists behind ever rock affecting everything and tainting everything and another sees sjws everywhere and in everything. Eerie and almost amusing in an uncomfortable kind of way.
Edit : also didn't Wolfenstein PS3 in 2013 have similar campaigns with nazis in the white house?

The New Colossus doesnt deserve this much energy guys. Awful game, boring game. I'm glad they chose that game to instill the SJW propaganda, and not a genuine good game.

The New Colossus was a vey solid and enjoyable game, I'm looking forward to Youngblood very much.

I always wondered why the talk around it was so lukewarm, starting to see that there may be other agendas at play.

.
I like living in a world where you don't get to make that decision for me or for anyone else.

Iirc, even people super keen on the politics of the game were down on the actual gameplay. It bummed me out because i loved the first one so much, well except for getting the plat with that last fucking hitscan instakill boss in the inferno room. Edit: oh, and the undwater shit.

I wanna buy and play wolfenstein 2 before i play this sequel. I know theres political shit and things that are woke or whatever in it. I just wanna play it for the good gunplay, and experience the story for myself.

The woke political shit that some people interpreted as offensive and are all in up in arms about is/was the advertising. The game itself has none of that.

Funny you mention that, woke stuff in games doesn't bother me nearly as much as devs/pubs virtue signaling and advertising (pandering) their woke stuff on social media
While the game itself didn't have any anti trump messages it does have muh toxic masculinity trash
I just wanna play it for the good gunplay,
The game has none of that, if you can't get it used for ultra cheap to try pass

no not after that fucking trainwreck of a second game.
wolfenstein can go fuck himself.

great video about why the second game was so shit

Jesus that video is dumb.

What 'woke' shit are people referring to?

I'm curious about the game, yes. It's rare to get a budget release for anything on Switch.

Friend got it free with his RTX card, I just bought it for £20. Can't complain, I like the Wolf gunplay and it's dirt cheap AND co-op.

Huh? I didn't see any of that. Please explain.

Beware - the gunplay is absolutely SHITE. I couldn't care less about the story or SJW agenda to be honest, I hardly pay heed to stories at the best of times. The gameplay is paramount.

The previous game was mint in this regard but they messed with it big time and destroyed it imo. The difficulty was also way off kilter causing further blows to the enjoyment of the game. So disappointed in the sequel after loving the first game.

IMO the story/agenda is the very least of Wolf 2's problems.

You are trying desperately to find a reason to be offended, just like the SJWs. Its time to take a break and reevalutate some things, Vedder. Not everything is against Trump or America.

Not really and I don't find it offensive. It's just obnoxious on top of being a shit game, especially in comparison to how refreshing New Order was.

This thread actually kinda has me itching to either play New Order again or Riddick. Some Starbreeze shooter.

Agree with A Acidizer about the gunplay of the 2nd game. It definitely felt like a downgrade from the 1st game in this department.
You spend a good chunk of the game at 50 health max and there is crap indication you're are getting hit. Most of the level designs are bland and easy to get lost in (going through nuked out NYC was terrible).

I'm still interested in the series and will try this one out when its cheaper.

Absolutely adored New Order. The acting, story, gameplay, music were all top notch.

New Colossus however was just far too out there. They took a gritty old school game and made it cartoonish and way too over the top.

I still liked it for what is was but it I didn't like it being mission based instead of a linear story. Because of that, very little interest in Young Blood since it seems like more of the same.

I'm sure the narrative is that toxic gamers don't like it because the characters are women. I'm just not excited because it seems like DLC and following the same goofy story.

That said, I'll still play it once it drops under 20.

The second one was just ok, so I'm kinda with a bitter taste in my tongue

Gonna wait for reviews and stuff. Maybe I get later. Just maybe

Absolutely loved TNO.

Absolutely hated TNC.

This new one's protagonists are very unlikable and if I ever install the game it will just be to try out the RTX options. I'll probably mute voices since just from trailers alone the protagonists voices already upset me, not to mention the dialogue is just dumb.

Edit: Got it free from buying a new GPU.

Shit gunplay + awkward difficulty spikes + significant portion of the game forcing you to play with 50 health max + shit hit indication is...is just a hell of a combo to my hopes that I would be having a good time gameplay wise. I was keen on picking it up for say around $25, but if it's this bad, I'm gonna have to wait for a price dip down towards the $5-10 dollar range. I'm sure it's not bad all the time, but things like bad hit indication, portions of being capped to half the normal health amount and awkward difficulty spikes make for an annoying experience overall. Yes I will still play it for a more complete backstory to compliment my upcoming time with Youngblood, but I'm not going to pay a higher amount for a game that seems to be rife with annoying gameplay elements. WIth all that said, there is still the chance that in some way, I may end up finding the game good and fun to play. I won't know until I pay it.

So I'm gonna give it a chance despite any negatives it may have...just at a lower price point which is perfectly reasonable.

The game is definitely flawed, but I was still had some enjoyment out of it. Played the first on my PC and this on my PS4 Pro. This is one of a few games on my PRO that made the fan sound like a jet taking off. Once it hits that 5-10 mark, I would say try it out.

Felt like they were just trying to 1up themselves over TNO and fell flat on their faces.

I'm all in with my friend. We both enjoyed all Wolfenstein games so this is a no brainer + longer game than previous ones and 30 euros and potentially better level design thanks to Arkane? How can you even skip this if you enjoyed previous games?

No hype here. I was expecting a numbered sequel rather than a spinoff, and the co-op focus just doesn't do it for me.
