Im still rocking my 6 years old RTX 3060ti,I5 12400f on 1440p 165hz monitor. With DLSS I mostly get around 80fps on newer games,on CS2 which i mostly play i get 250fps.

Its old-er midrange PC but honestly i dont plan to upgrade until UE6 and new PS6/Xbox come out which COULD be 2 years from now. Also, there are no many games out there, except GTA 6,that would require me to get new PC.

Feel like i would rather save for next 2 years and get flaghip Nvidia and Zen X3d cpu for next gen

The real reason why most people will delay upgrades is because the dram and nand markets are completely broken. Not because of UE6.

4070 gang rise up. I see no reason to upgrade, my system seems able to run everything and tbh most new games aren't for me.

Same boat as you, just with a 6700 XT instead. Especially now that AMD is giving us 6000 series owners FSR4 next year, I will probably ride this PC out for another few years before I build a new one from the ground up. I want to see what the next-gen is capaple of before doing it.

I'm looking to max out what my current motherboard can do, so I'm looking into buying a Ryzen 7 5800X3D when/if it's aviable and probably upgrade my RTX3080 to a 5070 TI and stick to that until ram is affordable again.

If I can't do this I'll hold on to see who everything shapes out since upgrading my motherboard would require new ram and thats an awful idea.

As per Moore law is dead both ps6 and the next Xbox will have rtx 5080 performance, so whatever you gonna build now will be obsolete by then unless you go 5090

I am waiting to upgrade my 3060ti but I don't know when the hell I will do it. Probably just wait until I find an excellent deal on a GPU. Planning on a 5070ti at the moment, but I am open to whatever comes along at the right price. The rest of my rig is good to go for another few years.

Smart choice, altho if u going with cpu current bis gaming zen5 archi 9850x3d is strong enough to provide us with stable 60 on any next gen(aka magnus/ps6) game with ease, just obviously those ddr5 prices are crazeh.
Gpu wise we can be sure nvidias 6000 series card and amd's rdna5 will be much better from current ones(in raster but more importantly in rt/ai upscaling capabilities) so if u arent hardpressed to upgrade now its indeed not bad to wait out 1 more year- on top by that time we will likely have official specs/presentation of both ps6/magnus so u will have hard data(not just leaks like now, altho pretty credible already) on whats needed for comfort for next 5-6years.

Saying all that expect crazy msrp and even crazier streetprices on those cards, nvidias flagship will be north of 4k usd actual(street)price even if they do all the fake mspr of 2k-2,5k or so, and even 6080 likey gonna be close to 2k usd streetprice too(yes msrp probably gonna be 1200-1500 but us customers gonna pay streetprice anyways so be ready for that, thats the reason i got pretty annoyed with yt reviewers back durning covid/2nd cryptoboom having to pay 2,2k euro for my 3080ti while all those fkers got one for free and judged its value by msrp which at launch was 1200€).

I went from a 5600x 3080 to a 5700x3d 5070ti last year. Rocking this for a long time.

My 3080 still plays everything I want to play without issue. No point in upgrading until the games you want to play aren't running the way you want them to.

Nah, I upgraded last year to a 9800X3D and 5070ti. I'm really glad I bought before the RAM and SSD price hikes, and overall I've been very happy with how the PC performs.

My only gaming device right now (and has been for couple of years) is a Steam Deck. I still have a moderate backlog of games that will run just fine on it. But yeah, so far, I've always bought new hardware (and sometimes even consoles) to play a new GTA titles, so I'll probably repeat this tradition when GTA VI PC release date is announced

Nah, i already upgraded, luckily just before the memory price hikes, god knows what the prices will be by then, my new PC will have to do for Unreal Engine 6.
