Anyone else not replay games?

Depends on the type of game. Singleplayer RPG's usually I only play through once.
Games like Dark Souls, character action games (DMC, MGR) I often play through multiple times.

Deus Ex also gets reinstalled from time to time :)

Depends if I want to. I used to do it just so I could play something, which I've stopped.

If it's a Soulsborne game I will most definitely replay it. Same for GTA/RDR.

I guess for most people it's the other way around, but I nearly exclusively replay story-heavy games.

E.g. I think I played every single Ace Attorney game at least three times and I also replayed 999 and Virtue's Last Reward.

It is not that I don't replay games, because I do, but it is very rare that I feel the urge to do so.

For the most part, I play games to achieve a sense of discovery (both exploration and story-related), which quite understandably disappears on repeat playthroughs.
Some games have gameplay, so enjoyable, that I want play them again, for the sake of focusing more on the gameplay aspect than the exploration or story. These are few and far in-between and those games often rank among my favourites.

If it's made by Naughty Dog, Rockstar, or a God Of War game I replay them a lot. Matter of fact I replay most story driven cinematic experiences, becuase it's by far the best genre in gaming to me.

i dont remember ever replaying a storydriven game ever. It`s just not fun for me to play a story game knowing what will happen at the end. That`s why i wont rewatch movies 90% of the time and i never rewatched a tv series after finishing it. There are other movies, tv shows or games i could play/ watch in that time.

I used to replay games all the time, now I rarely do. I had the urge to play Mario 64 this last Thanksgiving so I replayed that then, can't remember the last game I replayed before that.

Nowadays my backlog is so big I usually only have time to play games I haven't played through yet.

I get bit by the nostalgia bug and think, "oh man remember how awesome dark alliance was?"

Then I pop it in and play it for 15 minutes and I'm like, "ok that was enough" then I go back to new games.

Whenever I feel like playing something over again my brain is like "yeah I still remember all this. It's not exciting "

I've only replayed (fully) a dozen of games during my 25 years of gaming. I mostly only revisit one I enjoyed for an hour or two and then I'm satisfied.
The exception are Ico, SOTC, Uncharted 1-2, Jak&Daxter, TLOU, Journey, Contra SS, Gunstar Heroes, SOR, Sonic 2-3, Mario 3, SMW, Mario64, RE, MGS and Castlevania SOTN and a few others I can't remember.

Pretty never. Just don't have enough time to play all the new games I want to, nevermind going back and replaying a game I've already completed. There are exceptions though, but it's usually only in the case of Remasters where the original game I played is enhanced. But again that's only for games I really liked and have been away from long enough to want to experience it again.

When I was younger and had a lot more free time I did replay games several times. Just not something I can do anymore.

I used to replay games back in the SMS and Genesis days all the time - partially because releases seemed to be spread out more or less frequent. Also, most games I played (except RPGs and some action adventure games) were shorter (but harder). Being a Sega-only player probably had something to do with that as well.

Now it seems like we get 1-3 games a week between retail and digital services.

I'm in the "Ain't nobody got time for that" crowd on this. Too many new experiences out there. I've got the disposable income, so I'd rather play more new games than replay old ones. Last game I replayed was The Last of Us (PS3 first time, PS4 remaster the second time). I did enjoy it just as much the second time through, love that game.

Now, when I was a broke ass teenager working at McD's for less than $4/hr (with games costing $40-80 a pop), many games were replayed (I replayed Thunder Force 3 alone at least ten times). Side note, games are cheaper than ever, adjusting for inflation and relative costs.

I used to replay games all the time when I was younger and had more free time. These days I have to be a lot more selective. I still do it from time to time if it's a really special experience that I want to relive but I am trying to slowly chip away at my ridiculous Steam library that I've barely touched 95% of.

I start to replay games all the time but rarely end up finishing any of them. When I was a kid, I would replay games multiple times until I could 100% them by memory. A few examples I remember fondly are Illusion of Gaia,Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, and all 3 SNES Donkey Kong Country games.

At one point as a kid, I remember having beaten nearly every game I owned. Of course, back then I didn't have my own money and relied on my parents to buy me games which amounted to to just a few titles a year.

Today, I have over 700 physical copies of games in my collection and just have too many choices. I've recently begun thinking I should seriously consider selling off a majority of those due to this specific topic of never replaying them. My kid self though will probably never let that happen. After all, this was my dream back then, to be able to buy every video game I wanted.

I very rarely replay games.

Only a handful in recent memory.

GTAV, played it on 360 and Xbox One.
Guacamelee, beat it on normal and hard

Maybe that's it. It's been ages. I played RDR two times.

When I was younger I'd play a game once and never again. I just didn't see why I'd want to do it again and once I could say I "beat" a game it was good for me.

With the advent of trophies that changed completely. I would replay games over and over until I got that platinum. Harder difficulties can sometimes bring game systems to life in relation to lower difficulties. BioShock for example is one that absolutely changed the way I played, the higher difficulty and lack of Vita chambers forced me to tinker with plasmids and set traps etc.

Another example would be replaying games in a series in anticipation for a new release in said series. Uncharted Collection and Batman AA and AC were such games.

Nowadays I just don't have the time to replay game. Quantum Break is such an example, I played it on normal and I'm close to the 1000 Achievements but then I look at RoTR and State of Decay and Witcher 3 etc...can't justify replaying it again when I have so many other titles to get through.

Had I the time or didn't need to sleep I would for sure replay games more often.

80% of the time I'm usually replaying games. Idk, I noticed that I usually need quite some time to get into a game. Often it's not before I acutally finished it once. Bloodborne for example I only fell in love with the 2nd I played it. First playthrough was merly ok. Because of that it takes me quite some willpower to start something completely new. Usually I just end up replaying an old game.

For sone weird reason however even this mindset does not hinder me to buy new games far too often. I'm a bit weird.

Very rarely nowadays compared to where I would replay games several times over as a kid. Mainly because of the classic dilemma you get as you get older more access to cash, but less access to time. Typically only times I replay is if a game needs a quick second run through for a platinum trophy like the new Ratchet and Clank and Guacamelee.

Mafia 2
Gears
GTA V
MGS 1-4 + GZ
Pokemon X/Y
Witcher 3
Fallout 3
Oblivion
Arkham Asylum
TLOU

I can remember re-playing all of those in the last few years. It's really rare though, I usually sell games right after beating them. It basically has to be one of my GOATs to earn a replay.

Me too, as much as i loved a game i just cannot replay it, i only replay old arcade games like the ones in capcom classic collections lol.

To be honest there are also very very few exceptions to get the platinum,, but once platinumed i didn't play them anymore, of all the games i liked i platinumed only 7-8 games and only because:
-platinum was easy
-game was short
-it was possible to play any chapter

Like a lot of others have said, I just can't replay games. The initial "wow" factor and a lot of what I love about a first play through is gone. Not to say I am opposed to it, but I'd rather move onto something new. The only game I ever remember beating a multitude of times was KOTOR and that may be 3-4 times.

I love to replay games that I like as much as I like to review movies and as I like to reread books. Ah, and I like to review series that I like like Breaking Bad or Doctor who too.

I know I'm a rarity though, but I feel like I have to re-experience all those wonderful feelings that I felt while playing these games.
