Anyone else trading their Wii U for a PS4 preorder?

Remote play between PS4 and Vita still hasn't been fully explained. If it's pure Wireless-N then it should be very comparable to Wii U. So the only exclusive thing about a Wii U is the nintendo experience. Why not trade in otherwise?

Why not have both?

Even better. :)

So glad I didn't do an impulsive buy on the Wii U like I usually do with every new system. I think Wii U will be the first major game system in history that I don't actually buy. I just don't think the system is going to be around in any meaningful way much longer.

By the time Nintendo actually gets around to releasing a next-gen Zelda, Metroid or Starfox, we will all be playing Cyberpunk 2077, Halo 5, Killzone PS4 and every other truly next-gen title.

Considering I can play Watch Dogs (and likely others soon enough) on the Wii U (Or fuck, my 360 for crying out loud), nah. There was nothing impressive.

That and I buy Nintendo consoles for their games, so moot point regardless.

The PS4 event was pretty impressive, much better than PS3's revealing. Although there's no price point yet, anyone else feel bad about their Wii U purchase?

I feel a lot better about it. Not a single game shown at the PS4 conference was remotely interesting and it appears to be delivering exactly what the hype-masters claimed it wouldn't be - sequels to games I don't care about with little more than improved graphics.

What am I supposed to be impressed by? Two PC ports? A new Killzone and Infamous after being told that both GG and Sucker Punch would be showing off new IP?

I will only sell my Wii U if Sony starts playing Nintendo games. As far as choosing between playstation and the X Box, i will decide when they are both released.

I feel much more happy with my Wii U purchase after this event.Sony fans are in for a treat with PS4 but to me the hype amounted to nothing.

Wind Waker HD, X and Bayo 2 yum

Nope, I will buy a PS4 maybe even a Vita someday but I'm keeping my Wii U <3 can't really trade in 20+ eShop digital downloads and I would not want to

I was thinking this meeting would really kill off the Wii U but Ubisoft ruined the doom and gloom by saying Watch_Dogs on Wii U

PS4 is very very impressive if they can bundle it with a Vita for me this holiday I'm in

I was watching and I like the controler and the share, and the 8gb... and I say damn, Im a little envious, this thing is really cool.

And then they started showing the games.
The exclusive ones did not thrill me in the slighlest, and the rest I can play them in my PC.

You know, at the end of the day the most important thing is the games, and which ones you are interested in.

Knowing by Iwata some of the games Nintendo is going to reveal in E3 for wiiU (Smash 4, mario universe, zelda, X, Bayoneta 2...) and then im sure that some good surprises more, im pretty content with my wiiU right now, thank you very much.

Definitely not. The whole reveil was boring as hell. I'm not interested in ANY of the social features. Killzone looked - well like Killzone with better graphics. Gameplay looked boring, slow, with lots of auto-aim - in other words, just like you're everyday shooter. I'm not interested in FPS.

The rest was unimpressive as well.

Wii U will have a great line up of awesome games I actually wanna play this year.

The Wonderfull 101
Bayonetta 2
Probably Watch Dogs
Rayman Legends
Lego City Undercover
Mario Kart U
Zelda Windwaker HD
Monster Hunter Ultimate
Maybe Super Mario Galaxy 3

Thread backfire?

I was impressed by the power of the console but who gives a shit where are the games that can't be done on current power? E3 better show some of this stuff but this is quite worrying to me.

Oh Wario, you cheeky chappy.

The hardware sounds phenomenal and some games interested me, particularly Knack, Witness, LittleBigMusic and Watch_Dogs. But they need to show more actual stuff before I'm fully on-board. I'll wait to see what the next Xbox will be like before I decide which of the two to buy first (or at all).

No. I'm just more annoyed then ever that Nintendo isn't showing games or even concepts of games. I still like my Wii U but I'm not getting rid of it.

No because I bought my Wii U as a Nintendo fan and knew pretty much what to expect and what I wanted out of the console.

Anybody trading in a Wii U for a PS4 preorder should never have gotten a Wii U in the first place.

Yeah, it's only improved graphics.

Oh did you miss that whole thing with Jonathan Blow and The Witness?

PC/Wii U combo.

No regrets.

I hear you brother! I hear you! The hardware definitely looked great, but I don't see how anyone could be excited by any of the software they showed here. I'm sure they're bringing out their big guns come E3 though. Guess the balls in Microsofts court now.

Also this.

This is moronic. Trade it in for what 100-150? Sell it yourself if you want, but the decision should be independent from the PS4 reveal. Those who bought a WiiU, likely did so knowing they would have to supplement it with a 'real' console or a PC or fucking all of the above.

I'm gonna keep my Wii U, but I will get a ps4 at some point. Gonna get a PS3 first though, since PS4 doesn't have native bc (Gaikai's no good for a guy with datacaps).

Nope, I actually feel more positive about the Wii U after that.

Lol not in a million years. Maybe if they show something good at E3, but at that point Nintendo is going to show some good games as well so...

Did anyone else think Monster Hunter on PS4 when Capcom Ono got on stage?

I was sweating... but damn Deep Down is impressive can't wait to buy this thing but shit I'll need a new broadband ISP because WiFi will not suit the PS4 stuff plus I would need a Vita with it.

This shit is going to be extremely expensive, I could buy a nice Retina Macbook for what PS4+Vita and games might cost me by december :(

Nope. PS4 will be a companion with Wii U for this gen for us
This is also reasonable. If you like Nintendo games then that's a good enough reason to own a Wii U, on top of any other consoles.

Just because Wii U has been obviously trumped by the PS4 spec-wise doesn't mean Nintendo games lose their value. A gamer goes where his or her favorite games are and if playing a wide array of games requires owning multiple consoles, so be it.

The conference was solid but I don't think there was anything that blew me away in the sense that It was the be all and end all of gaming. I will pick it up but I will also likely pick up the Xbox 360 if it has at least a similar approach and specs.
